I dont really know what this could be. The woman who found them in 94 noted them down as cyanesence which they obviously arnt. Iam thinking bohemica, or serbice, maybe moravica? Dunno. Could someone help me out please?
Iam printing about 20 caps so Ill hopefully have a few prints to give out to some skilled cultivators. Also planing on sending Workman and Alan a sample. We might have something new here?
A few pictures of the habitat, the obvious blueing and spore color on the spore deposits on the caps. They were growing from woody debris and directly from logs. I even took a small log to the garden in hopes of seeing them pop up there.
So the pictures!
The first specimen I saw

The avarage size

Then I found more and more clusters

A hint to the spore color

One of the only young specimens I found. Maybe because they blend in so well

The habitat! Beech trees with beech wood debris and leaf litter

Then I found a picture perfect log with the mushrooms fruiting off them. I was sooo hapy to find these!

your country, but according to Stamets, Ps. Serbica
grows on beech.
Especially loving the log pictures and the nice autumn colors.
Can't wait to get a proper ID...

Thing is I don't see much bluing or hear you mention it. Species like azure go more black than blue , but Cyans and Frisco's (as you know) blue a brilliant indigo flag ... did you see any bluing ?
Is it possible (if there is signs of bluing) to have a guinea pig eat a small bit (say .2 gram dry or such) ? Just a thought , not pressuring ... inquiring minds want to know.
This reminds me of NightFlyer's Austrian wild woodlovers find Bohemica.
Awesome bro ... keep us posted !

Damn bro! Very cool! Wish I had an idea of what they are. They are very pretty.
Thanks man! We will find out soon enough!
Maybe they are ovoids.
Ive never seen ovoids in person so I couldnt say, but something tells me they arnt. They have to be one of the described european Psilocybes or something new?
Very nice pictures. Don't know much about psilocybes in
your country, but according to Stamets, Ps. Serbica
grows on beech.

Cool I didnt know that. I wanted to get that book but never did. A microscopic analysis will tell us more I hope!
This is amazing , and who better to find it than Kocos in his Jedi year ! I especially love the fact that it grows right on logs ! The gills look very cyanofib-like , looks like a cross between that and the Friscosa.

This reminds me of NightFlyer's Austrian wild woodlovers find (Bohemica) , but looks different.

Thanks bro, you probably understand how thrilled I was! I mean this really is a magical year for me!
I thought the blueing was evident on the pictures, pretty much every stipe was colored blue and even some of the caps had blue dots on it from rain and weathering.
I just checked the tray to see how they look now and some of the stems have turned pretty much black. They are starting to resemble pans now as they are drying out. These are magic bro I know it. There are prints being made, so if you want to try these out let me know!
I have a feeling these are fairly potent. Ive probably got a few grams here once they dry so Ill try them out sooner or later. I just want to have a rough Idea what they are first.
Ill contact Workman and Alan when time permits and send them each a sample.

They are Psilocybe arcana Borovicka and Hlavacek
Man of Knowledge
How did you decide on that species?
According to Boravicka 2008, Psilocybe arcana has an obtuse umbo, a feature that I do not see in these photos. Also the stalk does not get thinner at the base nor thicker at the apex, both features of P. arcana.
It looks a lot like the pictures of Psilocybe serbica var. bohemica or Psilocybe bohemica.
