Alright so the contestants are aged horse manure or the hay the horses eat, check the pics out. Which will be a better casing? Thanks

idk how successful a grow hay would lead.. i think you're looking for straw..

they are different btw.

i'm gonna say straw is quicker, but not necessarily optimal.. horse poop is like the beez neez as far as I have heard, they are pretty opposite ends of the spectrum.. horse poop is rich in many things, straw, is not, but that being said, mycelium would probably consume straw quicker because it is less content to break down?

don't quote me, just offering advice since it looks like you could use a replier :)

Let's use correct terminology also so others aren't confused. Those are bulk substrate materials, not casing materials.

I'm changing the title of your poll since those aren't casing materials.

And fresh hay would not be recommended due to such a high possibility of mold. Tryptaminer is right about that. Straw would be used rather than hay.

My best results have allways been from a straw/worm poo compost, strait poo is too strong, many times with this feeding of our little friends, less is more........
