most of the small shrooms have this dark blueish colouring, mostly just under the veil area


they appear to be aborting

Seems the problematic cake is pinning aborts after aborts.... not sure why because its got the same conditions as all the others.... would there be chance of contam?

towards the end of a cakes life it may abort a shitload and eventually contam. Cakes can be crumbled and cased w/ other substrates or thrown in the garden after their 4th flush generally. You can eek out about 6 or 7 flushes if you must but at some point it becomes more work than its worth. Keep those aborts, they can be quite potent you know.

I didn't know they were that potent, thanks for the info Hogwild.
Its only the second flush so hopefully it hasn't reached the end of its life just yet.
