There are creams and such that claim to numb the area. The investment to help ratio is probably pretty good with them.

But I dunno any home remedies for this, but I am truly sorry!!!!

Moved to animal farm.

Toothache drops with novo/benzocaine will work for a short time until you develope a tolerance to the numbing effect. I have also heard that clove oil works. Good luck

Sorry to hear.
Look at local organic stores or herbal market for Spilanthes extract. Acmella_oleracea

I know KT Botanicals carries some raw flower/seed here: Spilanthes
Its all natural and a very strong topical anesthetic, and is quite strong in natural form.

Id also recommend washing and gargling with antibacterials. Clove oil(which is also numbing), salt water... etc.
Im normally against antibiotics, but this is once case which may require them if it gets worse.
Dental infections when they escalate can cause severe problems if left untreated...
Hope you feel better.

3 dime sized pieces of garlic a day.
im serious.
try it 3 days.
youll have to keep it up , 3 pieces a day till ya see a doctor.

i had a total blown molar while trapped in a third world country.
i thought i was gonna die.
natives started feeding me garlic...........
i was almost instantly fine, and didnt bother with a dentist for months until the shards from the tooth were cutting my mouth up too bad.
for weeks blew chunks of tooth all over the place, felt great, zero pain.
it works.

its not a cure, but 3 good chunks a day will stop the infection....

if your big maybe 4, a whole garlic cluster/pod should last 3-4 days.

i am not a doctor. see a doctor/ dentist.
emergency rooms will sometimes refer dentals if ya howl enough.
dental schools offer lower rates , and are usually excellent
some doctors will do spec/ payments, figuring the write off is cool enough.

All great advice  I like clove oil myself. Also if you hold Listerine (or the dollar store equivilent) in your mouth it will ease the pain alot. Try to keep it in for five or more minutes at a time.

Suck on a whole clove or spot treat with clove oil until you can get to a dentist.

Take blue mouthwash and mix it in baking soda to make it a thick paste
pack this in/around the bad tooth and leave it there.

This will draw out the toxins and relieve the pressure.

I have a bad wisdom tooth that broke because it was severly impacted
I did this last time it flared up infected badly and then fell asleep
I woke up about 3-4 hours later and the gums around the tooth was bleeding
this drew out the infection and the tooth has barely bothered me since (been over a month).

I've been in this situation before and it's not fun at all. I would take a shot of pure vanilla and swish it around the area it hurts then spit it out. IMHO it taste really bad but I found it to help and I hope it will help you, tooth aches are no fun at all :(

get a piece of string
tie one end to your tooth
tie the other end to a heavy door
slam door
no more tooth!

seriously, talk to your local health authority to find out about low cost/free dental extractions.A bad tooth is not only painful but can also cause other problems like heart disease.

Welfare will often pay for a removal.

Tooth extractions really aren't THAT expensive in most places.

You could work for a temporary labour service for a couple days to pay it.Sometimes the hardest part is going and actually sitting down in that chair knowing something unpleasant is about to be preformed.

The guys at KT Botanicals recommended Kratom to me... The said it was similar to the relief you get from Norco/vicodin.
