For example, cakes vs. bulk subs.
A general-purpose answer, however, is:
after colonization +1wk for cakes, and 95-100% on bulk subs,
expose to ambient light and FAE's.
Then wait 3days to three weeks to see pins.
From there it's only days from harvest.
Hope this helps.
P.S. More info=better answers.
Gluck!

SWIM said: "For fruiting you should keep the temperature above 20ºC and below 24ºC, more or less temperature will de-accelerate fruiting".

1. Spore inoculation to spore germination - within a week, at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Spore germination to complete colonization of the cake - about 2 to 3 weeks.
3. Colonization to fruiting cycle start - within 2 weeks.
4. The fruiting cycle lasts about 2 weeks. After the initial flush, the mycelium cake begins to turn blue and no more mushrooms form. If the cake is thoroughly cleaned of abhorts and stray fungus blobs after the initial fruiting and given the PF double ended cake casing tek, fruiting can be doubled or even tripled.
All in all, the process takes from 4 - 6 weeks from spore inoculation to fruiting.
This is from the PF tek in the archives, they have a lot of great info in there.

Im on day 5 of fruiting. My cake is very tomentose. No signs of fruiting or even pins yet. Should I be worried? No bad smells or visible mold although there are tiny pin head sized water droplet formations throughout (possibly do to too much condensation and droplets forming on lid then dropping?) temperature has been between 69-72 degrees FH

Its about to happen. Its hard to wait but it will happen. When I was young, I had hard time waiting but now that I am old, I appreciate the wait. But don't worry you can take throw outside and it is going to fruit. But don't throw it outside.
