I have multispore noced a few brf jars with Texans. After they fully colonize I am not sure what way i will go with them. Considering fruiting them or Spawning to trays. This will be my first real grow and curious as to some noob stage experiences to help my decision. If I do go to trays what would be the best tek for a fairly uneventful grow?

If you can find some good herbivore manure, composted to a good consistency, I would put some jars into that.

Do you have access to some horse or cow manure? Kangaroo? Koala?

I never cared for the rez-effect stuff too much. IMO, if you're going to prepare a substrate for a bulk grow, why not use something nutritious?

On the other hand, if you can't get those things but still want to practice, you could do a bulk grow with verm or coir...

IMO use a 1:1 spawn:substrate ratio with the verm/coir. Use a fresh bag of verm, or sterilize it before use. If using coir, hydrate with boiling water and you're good to go!

Just make sure your bulk substrate is hydrated to field capacity before you spawn to it. This means that you can only squeeze a drop or two of water out of it.

Thank you. I do have some access to poo but no space to sterilize it. I was thinking a 1:1 with coco. We will see. it is looking like I may be leaving for a trip and may have to put things on hold for a minute. I am thinking of birthing early to take a sample off the cake and throw it on a plate. Will this work alright even if the sample is not taken from a fruit body. This is only to preserve seeing as I do not have any thing left to noc with when I get back. Then i think im going to let the jars fruit invitro. How long will the mushies last if they beging to fruit before I leave. Jars are about 20% colonized now.

Well, you probably have a minimum of 10 more days before they're fully colonized. It could be quite a bit longer than that. Some new growers seem to experience loooong colonization times.

If they're getting light already, they will probably start pinning invitro soon after colonization, maybe less than a week.

If they're kept in the dark the whole time you can probably keep them from pinning until you get back, though they'll be drying out gradually and you'll want to dunk before the first flush. I like to dunk before the first flush anyway...

Check my various strains I developed from cubes around the globe, mostly Southeast Asian strains. See in Terrariums, aquariums, open trays and the Amsterdam 20,000 kilograms grown a week in dozxens of cells, with six tiers in each cell and they grow so thick they ooze out of the bottom of the tiers composted areas.

Cubes, Copes and Pan Subbs from Three farms plus sclerotia of P. mexicana and P. tampanensis from Amsterdam farms, plus some strains that grew 100 days straingth with 7-10 flushes.
