Heh, yeah, alot of them fell of the cakes in the terrariums.. that one, was on there good... It's as if it wanted it's picture to be taken. :) haha... The cambos tend to be moderately attached... They don't usually fall over too easily, and don't rip out huge chunks of cake/substrate either.. they are just attached decently nice. That one 1/4 pint one did not make it for the pic.. that would have been a nice one. heh

 to the beast.
That's amazing doobs, that cake must be spent after that biggun!

Hah, I thought so too, but, it is still moist! hahahaha I'm not dunking after this flush cuz the cake are still kinda squishy! I'm just gonna see how they do. Not sure how the food supply is... The cambos I've done before only seem to push out 2-3 flushes getting less each time.. This is the first time I got such a monsterous 2nd flush. Fewer mushies, but monsters. Was almost like what my b+ does... cept these are cambos. :)

Did that blue in that first pic show up after fruiting or before? I've got some cambos going that are just fully colonized and have some bluish on them. Is the bluing normal for cambos?

Yep, normal.

This picture below, happened near the end of the fruits forming... When the cakes got sucked dry. The fruits also stain/bruise blue easily, as does the myc itself to a small degree.

Dooby, I'm glad you got a giggle out of it! I sure got a nice rush off those giant fruits from the tiny cakes. Talk about studies in perspective...

I'm glad I could give a little back to ya, man!

These are great! What a wonderful flush you got there!

DDD have you ever made a thread about how you treat your cakes to get them to flush like that?

There is really nothing special. Fresh ground brown rice, vermiculite, tap water. PCed at 15psi for 90min-120min, dunk em if they feel light... Fresh air, humidity... a lil light...

dats it. no secret formula. heh

I notice from the pic a few posts up alot of the cake is yellow/browney. Mine were like this after the first 2 flushes and I'm just generally a bit concered if the mushies from my third flush are fine to eat? Thankya..

Aaaaand.... some cambos :teeth:

Nice big mushies! :)

Yes, they are fine to eat... Cakes can look like they got hit with a nuke sometimes... esp if you happen to do a bleach dip to them for some reason. The fruits that come off it are ok.

I have a question for others working with cambos or who have... Do they tend to have few flushes? Like squeeze out all they can in the first one or two? Cuz this seems to be happening with me. 3rd and 4th flushes are lil if at all... Just seems they tend to eat up all the food quickly and push stuff out on earlier flushes... Just wondering if others notice/experience this.
