Hi I like to start with what I think is considered a grow log, this is going to be to be a invitro grow in bags with your help, FOAF's grow so we'll see...
Let me preface with that he already has colonized Qt.s of WBS and going to add it to pasteurized coir.
This is kind of a cool measurement because its just 1 qt. WBS and 1 Qt. coir is perfect for this size bag, how cool is that?

He cut a 2" round hole in 7.5"X3.5" polypropylene gusseted bags he had around from another project, 100 of them are like 7.00 and change at http://staging.paper...x?GroupID=32887
Note: these are the kind that also withstand PC'ing
He taped polyfill over the hole, is this to big a hole?
IMG_0769.jpg
I know the polyfil and tape looks like shit, then mix 50/50 WBS spawn and pasteurized coir
IMG_0770.jpg
Then sealed the bag as far to the top as he could, remembering Sandman saying something to the effect that the bags work better with more room in 'em
IMG_0771.jpg
Then my FOAF broke and mixed it up in the bag after sealing and put in a cooler that is his incubator of sorts,
another cool aspect is that these cellulose bags stand up by themselves kinda keeping their shape : ) Being somewhat consistent to 'Sandmans' guidelines

The polyfill is also covered with one coffee filter and taped, thats one reason for all the f*#*ing tape LOL
So here are the questions does anyone think that the 2" hole under the polyfill (and coffee filter) large enough? or too large? remember these are to be grown invitro.
Should he place another one on the other side? also my friend use to use Tyvek over a 1" hole but they didn't really colonize like these or didn't really colonize at all
IMG_0777B.jpg
two bags were done earlier this week (out lined in red) they had like a one inch hole that has poly in it and they seem to be colonizing fine and they were sealed lower down the bag, these bags ripp easy thus taped over poly.
My friend would get a pic to show but afraid to take a picture exposing the bags to some light and the flash might stall its growth is this true?

Note: my FOAF knows there has been many unsuccessful post of 'fruiting in bags' out there, he contends that it may be due to the level of air exchange and of course a general % of error and alot of them are those pre-filtered bags, Sandman seems to have the hang of it.
My friend of a friend, an old bastard like me thinks it would be great to get this Technic down for these smaller bags to keep from having to fan tubs all day long and be able to utilize his space better.

I fruit in bags with filter patches.

I fan 2-3x/day through the first flush. After that they're neglected (only opened to pick fruits). As is to be expected with later flushes, larger fruits and less of them.

Nice job.
It's difficult to say what they are... My bet would be Mexican. The pictures I've seen of Cambodian they appear nearly albino...

FOAF says "I likes doing these Bags in a tub things", he thinks he might be waited a little to long to harvest, who knows.

He cleaned the coir cake off and it still had weight so set it on foil back in the perlite tub with its cousins.
