After a little search and thinking, I believe the Liberty Haze was made with Soma's G13xHaze male, crossed with ChemDawg91.

Hehehe, looks like I'm trying every single sativa/haze of Barney's Farm's catalogue (at least, the ones available at my LGS in Spain) :D

(Amnesia Lemon (SSH x Lemon Skunk), Laughing Buddah, Acapulco Gold, Tangerine Dream (G13xA5 Haze), Liberty Haze (G13xHaze x ChemDawg91))

The only one left I believe is Utopia Haze.

For the next session, if I haven't got my clones back, there are 2 strains I've been wanting to grow for a long long time, from my days at the Dampkring Coffee Shop in Amsterdam : Mako Haze and Mexican Haze. Both are available in reg and fem at Alien growshop... Tempting :)

Like you can see in the picture a few posts above, I soak them in water until they open and show the germ, then immediately put them in fresh coir with a bit of mycorrhizae.

The paper towel technique hurts the germ, I haven't used that tek for a long time...

I will try this out. Thanks.

If possible, too, always try to put the seed with the germ UP and not down.

That way, the young plant can get rid mechanically of the seed's shell.

A bit hard for me to explain in english by computer, though...

But trust me on this : germ up.

Is it better to store seeds long term in a refrigerator?

Is it better to store seeds long term in a refrigerator?

Yes. Short term also. Basically, when you receive them, put them in the fridge, unless you're going to use them immediately.

When you're ready to pop them, take them out of the fridge and wait 48h before putting them in a glass of water at 21-24°C (70-75°F) until they open.

Don't wait for the germ to be any longer than a few milimiters, because you'll damage it even with the gentlest of handlings.

Stick it in coir/dirt, 1cm (1/2 inch) deep, with the germ up, water very gently, and don't water again until the seedling is bigger and the soil has dried a little, else you'll drown the young roots.

Patience and right timing is key ! :)

Great ! They just started boosting growth, as soon as I prepped some pH adjusted nutes mix :

- 1ml/1L House & Garden Coco A&B

- 1.5ml/10L Aptus Regulator

- 2.5ml/10L Aptus Startbooster

- House & Garden Bloom pH- (phosphoric acid @ 42%, not so bad)

Will take pictures later today :)

BF Liberty Haze : DSC_0583.JPG

The roots are filling up the pots already.
Will have to repot in 1L pots very soon, but before that, I need to setup the big Dark Tent...
I'll probably switch to a Gavita HPS @ 300W then.

Hey dear friend !

Very long time no see indeed !

I'm very happy for you, you bastard you. Greenhouses... I'm jealous ! I'm now living in France, down to 2 square meters and scared of the police

But I also quit smoking cannabis 3 weeks ago, and I'm feeling closer to myself than I've been in 20 years...

Still loving to grow the plant, though.

I should update, I started flowering a week ago and they're getting pretty big now.

Soon it'll be time to turn the second lamp on, and install a carbon filter... This is France.

Loooots of water under the bridge...

I haven't grown in a year, and probably won't be growing any time soon, as I moved with my woman and her 8 yo daughter (who can't hold her tongue, of course.)

Oh and my last intention to Ayahuasca was to deprogram my addiction to smoking (cigarettes and joints), so I'm in the process of rebuilding my life without the weed and most importantly, without tobacco...

For which both I still have lots of respect, and one day, we'll be together again, but on my terms...

That'll probably be in ceremonial context, as cannabis in my eyes is a sacred plant just like ayahuasca, cactus, etc. and tobacco is clearly a master plant teacher as well, but not in the form we use in the west. I'm talking here about Nicotina Rustica, aka Mapacho as it is know in the peruvian amazon.

But I thought I might share some thoughts about my last grow...

Yield wise, I had a lot of botrytis, as my house was located not to far away from a river in a valley of the french Pyrénées => RH was above 80% most of the time.

I harvested some 820g, under 1320 Watts (2x 660W Gavita eletronic ballast, I love those !) in an tent 4'x8' (1,2m x 2,4m).

I believe I have lost at least 200g to botrytis, which is not so bad, after all.

It's just I hate that stress of checking multiple times a day in the expectation to watch your beloved plants rot...

The most touched ones were of course the more indica/skunk strains, like the Critical+, the Amnesia Lemon and all the other "skunks".

The Critical and the skunks were harvested around 8 weeks, the sativas were all cut around 10 weeks.

Smell, taste and high wise, the least interesting to me and my friends were the "skunks".

Then the Laughing Buddha.

Then the Liberty Haze, which wasn't that hazy nor very powerful, but had a very nice yield.

The two favorites were the Acapulco Gold and the Tangerine Dream.

The Tangerine Dream was very hazy, and VERY powerful. A bit too much, now that I'm a much more reasonable smoker (back in the day, at the beginning of this thread, I used to smoke 3g a day, nowadays it's more like 0.3-0.5g a day)

The Acapulco smell was ok, but the taste was out of this world.

One of my favorite weeds of all time !

Potency was very good, well balanced. One day I'd like to make a nice selection with her and keep it as my personal stash.

This is a pretty awesome thread when you consider the timeline and the dates.

I have not seen a grow from seed in a long time. There's clones of all types available here, and it's legal, but no seeds.

I almost miss having a male to just get a few seeds  for next year.

I am learning a lot about reverting back and forth from veg to flower, and back again. It grew some pretty awesome plants, now the clones are  just starting to go back to veg, under lights for the winter.

Now it's just an attempted mass genocide of the outdoor pests that migrated to the indoor grow.
