Rather than have multiple threads each time I need help with a cactus ID, I will be using this one. F
Feel free to post pics here if you're unsure of what you got!
Here are three of mine, that I am unsure of. I'm pretty sure the last on is a san pedro.

Hi Gardenboy! the first one is an Echinopsis, maybe eyriesii or a hybrid. the second is Cereus sp. and the third is san pedro/Trichocereus sp.

Thanks teesus! i think the second one is Cereus peruvianus. I also thought the first was an Echinopsis, but damn that is a big family, so am unsure about sp. but I don't think it's eyriesii judging from the pics i've seen online.

dooda man, i def. will post growth pics. letting the san pedro callous over for another week or two and then that sucker is going into a nice big pot!

Thank you Silver HD !
I totally forgot about that other thread. I did read it and also posted to it.
Well it happens sometimes:rasta:
Thank you badger, no bubble bust ! Glad you were able to set us straight !
I'd rather know then to guess !

Yea , as stated in my post, i was Leary and thats why i asked.
my Brothers and sisters at topia ! I though it should be more blue to be a torch.
Also the spines, the color of new spines to be exact. And the tuff at the base of the spines.
If i missed anything on discription please tell me, to better my ability of IDing on my own !
Ask the right questions and you shall receive !
The more i post and the more i visit, the more i love this place !
Na i was happy to save this specimen from eventual death. Did not matter if it was active or not !
Half the cacti at that place was drowning. i dumped the water from their pots to let them live !. What they water and let them sit in a no holes in the bottom pot to drowned ? I had to save them from certain death !
Hope this ID thred works for all !

Anyone know what these are? These are from a local greenhouse for $3.99.....and if nothing else they appear to be old enough to flower. I have been slowly looking through page after page of cacti on the web and the best I have come up with for ID of these two is Echinopsis Ancistrophora http://cactiguide.co...phora_c_600.jpg But I don't know if that is correct or not. Perhaps a flower or two will show itself, we'll see. Anyway this is cool thread to have.

Here are some shots of them including what appear to be 4 seeds in the fuzz, which I planted.................. :teeth:
