She nocked up Mycrobags from Hippie3 with B+ won from SporeLab :). After 10 days she kneaded the scantily colonized bags... now two days later they have really taken off ( see pix ). Very happy with the progress. Anyone have kneading advice? How much is too much? When to knead again?
thx!

once is enough to get the mycellia spread thru the bag.
that should be done at roughly 30% colonization.
more will delay the process needlessly for minimal benefit, if any.
just let them finish normally now.

Thank You H3. I've never rec'd an answer on these threads that hasn't helped me on my way.
For me this is like MycoMapQuest :).... put in a destination and the quickest way there is soon to follow. :hippie:

Nice and puffy white looking... As hip said, usually once to break it up and spread it about is fine, then let her go and colonize the rest of the way. Very nice. I haven't seen those pcorn/brf bags yet. ;)

when you knead/mix
be sure to get all the way
down to bottom of bag for fastest results.
recently upped the pcorn percentage on my mycrobags
to further facilitate speedy finish.

Here's a follow up shot of the Mycrobag with B+. I haven't seen her so happy about progress in quite a while. Just 25 days from nock up time and already lookin' sweet! Oh Yeah!!
Also, the bags give a real nice view of the growing process and my LazyLady likes the hands off.... more time for the 4 kids
She sends many, many thanks to H3... and all Mycotopians:heartbeat

You could use the same bag, but the nugget is going to float. The spawn bag would be hard to keep closed and likely make a mess. 1 gallon ziplocs do great for an overnight nugget dunk in the fridge, though.

25 days from spore to shroom
is pretty good performance
esp. since those pins are a few days old
call it 3 weeks
hard to beat that
with any TEK
