I love seeing all the creativity here. I like to work with mixed media, but also sometimes I like to work with digital art.

This is one I did today called "Desert Stoned"

Cool artwork everyone.......In a former self I used to draw and paint a lot........but now I carve wood and stone.

In the picture here is a "king" for a tafl board I'm creating, they will all be hand carved and each will eventually have real garnets gathered from a local stream inlaid into them. It is another of those ongoing projects as the inspiration comes.

My latest, which I've just begun, is an 8 foot maple post that will have amongst other things 4 faces and represents Swetovit, Google the word if interested.......... :teeth:



You've seen my mushroom stick which is pine but this staff is done from a poplar dowel. I have a need to create in 4D.............. :special:

While traveling through the wilds of Arizona, we started out one morning in the ruins outside Sunset Crater. When we came up to the ruin of Wukoki, I was captured first by the awesome silence of the desert that morning. Wukoki seemed like an island suspended in time, ancient and alluring. We barely spoke while there, as if afraid to break the spell. When I peered through the weathered stone windows, I was struck with a flood of ancient memory's, watching a view seen by many, that had not changed for uncounted years. This piece was an attempt to capture some of that. I call it "Wukoki Morning"
