stabilizer...don't know yet..and ashless oils
almost don't smoke if the carb is set right.
==============================================
BUT more to this thread.....
BTW..the easiest and fastest way to threats and potential doom I am afraid will happen some day soon..maybe not a good place but seems to go into this thread.
and that is..IF : with a rifle..say an .06... ammo cheap and easy mailorder,even,FMJ.. a cheap SKS..whatever.
a group of ONE or more goes out into the rural parts where the big power-lines grow..and well...
insulators are just ceramic..they drop the lines..if co-ordinated..and grid specific, esp. when extremes of climate makes for the demands of electric..we all go into...NEED real fast,,no heat..no cooling no refrigerators, no light, back to basisc really fast IF ya had a plan in the first place...! all you may have are a couple of hours before..nature takes over...
just look how long it took to fix the last big outage in the East..last year or so..
and this could go on and on with little or no way to guard against or prevent..it's on their list of the most dreaded terro-acts..but around deer season no body wonders who's a shootin' anyway..and there is no man-power in this scenerio..to help..or not enough to stop it.
and our gov. knows IT.
then what the survivalists have tucked away will be worth more than any gold..it will be life.
and this type of act could easily be a very real holocaust..for a very dependent and needy nation/world. what you think?
We are only as strong as our weakest links..
and as always the "weak" are always the most vulnerable.

anyone stock-piling food, water, ammunition ?
got a place in mind to bug-out to if the
fit hits the shan ?
i do, and i'm getting prepared too.
in the near future
i'll be posting a lot more of steps we can take to help ourselves and our families cope if the systems we all depend on go haywire
and it's every man for himself. "
=================================================
back to the base of this thread..
it does pay to be prepared not just wait..!
to wait is to be Too Late..have a plan.
Find a good hole to make it in. Try not to travel much, there will little sense in it and you will just be a moving, rich target.
Stock water, food, arms/ammo, first aid, shelter, like rolls of plastic, a good tent,
learn how a hogan is built, know how to make a solar-still,you can get water right outta the dirt! get a few good basic survival skill books and study them now. Seeds, tools, firestarters, spare parts, toilet paper nice till it runs out.! Soaps, chemicals esp. bleach, H2O2, etc. clothing, stock some fuels, stabilized gasoline, kerosene and know how to make your own alky! fer drinkin', fuel and trade,KNOW how to make real wealth goods, have a stock of them for barter..they'll "buy" anything you may need if you make it to this point!
Ya, tuck away prints too they should be in the seeds pack. tools include some equipment, like a generator, tiller, etc. but better have alternatives when your parts are gone..spark plugs, OIL, all depends upon how much room you have and can protect.
anyway..good luck if and when.
we'll all get together at our first rendezvous,,
how 'bout YOU..?

That is why the group you end up with post 'holocaust' or wahteva you wanna call wahtever happens; may well determine your survival. A well balanced and well led small community I think will be more valuable than any amount of stockpiled material that you can put aside. Not that guns n gas are a bad idea, obviously<!-/quote-!>

we're gonna
rally 'round the family
with a pocketful of shells

no secret that this race has become weak<!-/quote-!>

i disagree.
all the instincts are still here,
people just aren't brought up
like we used to.
but we can learn and fast at that.

the resilience of homo sapiens will prevail in the long run, but the weak will die off like they always have in nature, and there will be no more ICU or any of that nonsense <!-/quote-!>

evolution at its' finest.

.
and don't get me wrong, I wish my list was filled up,, sometimes it is and mostly it isn't ..
like the water always has to be renewed.
some of my ammo is from the 1930's but stuill kept well it works really well..
always more things to do to ..fill the ark..
how does your ark grow..
the weak are the first folks you'll have to look out for..they're used to freebies now so they will be the most needie and with few skills..
and if I can get to the farm from somewhere else will be an adventure in it self..depends how much shit has hit the fan before yoiu react too.
as is..those who just play it by ear..odds are much worse than if a little on top of things. so anything is a step in the right direction.
I am still a bit like the grasshopper..who waits too long.Honey is the only food wich does not spoil.
