And at the end of the day, it us that brings importance to any of it, at all...."Yet even these words, shall too pass away"

Temper
Tempered through time accidentally find
Extended past any individual mind
Discovery of tools laugh and cry at the fool
Labyrinth of noise delivered the schools
Fear learned belief forestalling relief
Dwelling abyss marries the grief
Anger loves pain bedmates dark rain
Grindstone submerged tests once again
Surface a glimpse memorial fear and wince
Unable to free others burning convince
In darkness reign reflected in pane
Blinded by I with nothing to gain
Ruling my hell blacken kingdom dwell
Afraid of the fear reflections to sell
Melancholy dispose the savior exposed
Suspended belief simple scented black rose
Yet scent and vision hint of division
Amiss, new knowledge of inquisition
Searching sought answer self made necromancer
Attended royal ball and saw not one dancer
Sight cannot see a forest for trees
Worst of them all forging agree

The gov wants you to vote
to create a false sense of hope
that you can influence politics
when its really ran by a bunch of rich pricks

Blackberry Pie
__________________________________________________________________
In my mind, every once in awhile I find
A little boy with an empty butter tub
He’s heading out back into the scrub
Picking blackberries, bringing em home to mom
Right over there is where their from
I miss those simple days sometimes
Remember it like, it was just yesterday
Scraped and scratched in that July heat
Berries in the tub and some to eat
Filling that bowl, until it held a score
Take them back get an empty one
Simple like that and I want more
Blackberry pie
Made with love and her two hands
Didn’t realize it then, now I understand
Blackberry pie
Haven’t had one like it since that time
Never take for granted so hard to find
Mom’s Blackberry pie
Spring of 79, she got sick then made us cry
It took so long couldn’t understand why
And I quit picking those berries
Pop did his best, that’s what he could do for us
Worked like dog to keep things up
Nothing to do when your momma dies
Things were crazy, and for a really long time
People got hurt, more of us died
Still I couldn’t see through my eyes
It’s easy to hold, onto the anger and the pain
Indifferent sun when you’re making it rain
All I really wanted was a slice once again

Didn’t realize it then now I understand
Blackberry pie
Haven’t had one like it since that time
Never take for granted so hard to find
A Blackberry pie
My little dove, a heart and face that’s full of love
I’m gonna teach her all about that butter tub
And picking berries in July heat
We’ll start slow, and pick the easy ones you know
She’ll never meet her but I’ll bet that my mom
Is smiling with an even greater love
Now it’s my turn, to bake some of those pies
Until the day I’ll make them cry
And I hope that I can pass along
One of life’s lessons that I needed to learn
Sugar topped crusts and care not to burn
Finally I’ll get another slice
Of Blackberry pie
Made with love and my two hands
She gave it to me and now I understand
Blackberry pie
Much more than just a tasty treat
A hunger for love I just want to eat
Mom’s Blackberry pie

Distant
Not enough Desperation to ask for Help.
They say Heaven is the Host of Beauty.
A Fallen Angel already gave his wings.
Waiting for the Choir and all it's chilling Notes.
Never to arrive at those Pearly Gates.
Remember the second floor?
Those tiles and that strange scent.
It all was a memory, all just a dream.
Remember the cool fall breeze?
Flying in comfort to a place of joy.
How close, nevermore.
The power of the forgotten.
That which will never be.
Remember, that's all you were.
They say Heaven is the Host of Beauty.
A Fallen Angel already gave his wings.
Remember, that's all you ever were.
The Fallen.
He'll turn you away when it's your Time.
Note: I'm not religious. It's just a common ground for expression. Most everyone understands metaphor and a lot of religion is such.

I feel ya! Very nice work all of you...............
The analysts and the policy makers
Field day innermost musings and rambles
Justification of arrogant belief
Twist walls entangled briar and bramble
Read the thoughts shall we echo
Empty fear teaching pupils forgot
This to you I pen with keys
Surfaced in safety cast forth the lot
:teeth:
