wow what a great thread. i have a question, can you use the oven bags right out of the box. lets say you have some poo/straw pasturized and a jar of spawn. can you just mix it right in a bag from the box?

yes, but
you'd need twice as many holes,
a pair at each quadrant,
one tyvek & one silicon
so you could inoculate self-sealing
and still get air exchange.
a bit redundant, imo
as a verm barrier does both

it's all i've been using for the last couple years at least,
great stuff, more cloth-like than that post office crap
a few dollars worth will do thousands of jars.
