Mentioning Mycotopia on another website is one way, and people have been doing that, but I like the sticker, bookmark, tshirt, poster ideas was wondering if there were others.

A mycotopia signature at the bottom of topiates' posts on other websites and you bound to get some clicks.

We had an influx of members after shroomery went down. How many of them are still here? How many of them went VIP?

Also, I think a VIP print drive would be a cool thing too. I for one would be happy to contribute several prints toward such a thing where we can make it almost like a "welcome to mycotopia" package if you join at $30 or $40. "Get 5 stickers and a random print for just $10 more!"
Just an idea

People come, but do they stay?
It varies... People come and they go, then some come back.
The site has always fluxuated, ebbed and flowed. More people active in the winter than in the summer... Etc
Thing we need to do is keep jamming ideas.
The festival scene for distribution of stickers/posters and for wearing tshirt is a great one!
Do we know anyone still active that can produce Mycotopia logo screenprint tshirt?

I am curious how much money is needed?
I was just going to post the same thing.. because my ventures have been paying off pretty well..
I wouldnt mind giving a larger donation, couldnt help but repay what I have learned..

What we are looking for is tangible ways of raising funds to pay for the overhead of Mycotopia. The ideas are flowing and we need to follow up on the good ones.
Brainstorming time ...

Just an idea here. How many vip's do we have? Is it possible to rotate monthly required donations between members? For instance if we have 50 vip's then one month 10 of those vips will be required to make a 20 dollar donation, and the next month it's the next 10 and so on and so on. Only thing about that is how do we make it fair to the paying members? Wouldn't be good if non paying member had access to things that paying members do. I would hate to see this site go away, I consider it more of a community than just a place to find a tek. I know the economy is pretty shitty right now and people are struggling, but come on who can't come up with $20 to donate a couple of times a year if they really care about this community. Hate to be harsh, but these are harsh times that we live in.
Or maybe we could make a mandatory print donation each month for Mrs H. to auction off. I don't know but just bringing in new members isn't going to be enough to save mycotopia, us users are going to have to support this place if we wish to see it survive, if anything it will make it more difficult because more people = more bandwidth.

I'm a musician, releasing an album in the future. Also a game developer. A lot of fans of the genre and style I play enjoy a lot of the things here. I could print business cards and put them in the CD cases as inserts with some other extras. I'm also donating 50% of my video game sales from members here purchasing, their families, friends, and after that tapers, I'm setting an amount of continuous percentage that will be donated. Also starting short films and photography, I will do my best to spread the word. I've gotten one friend to join already though he isn't very active. I could also make bookmarks and spread those around, I travel a bit now and again. Just up and leave. I'll do what I can for my home and my family here.
What kind of games?

Any truth to the rumor that Mrs. H is a member over at Irish's site and is negotiating some sort of, uh, I guess, "handing over of power", so to speak? I heard this somewhere.
say what?

You're not the first member that has said that. I heard it yesterday.

Behind the curtain of mycotopia there is decisions and apparatuses in place , gears in motion and rest assured Mrs.H & Zen have an angle on it and are working on things in the way they see fit .. with input from the community at large when they participate.
Keep the ideas flowing ...
Ideas that can help keep mycotopia afloat.

That level of discussion seems to private for this thread
No disrespect meant but whats the big secret?
Are we not worthy, as members to know whats shaking with our home.. in plain uncensored English?
I think the masses can handle knowing whats going on...
just my thoughts...
