Looks good from what I can see and it looks like the older wood pieces are fully colonized and others aren't, could be the slight difference in color. I don't see anything that sticks out(in a bad way).

It does look pretty good and I'd stop misting chips directly.....that will do it every time.......the only moisture I add to chips is some more soaked chips (not too many) and field capacity soil/mulch....

When a woody culture gets stale (yellow, slowing, heavy metabolites) I move the chips into something else....sometime just bury the whole lot in a soil "grave" with a Naturscapes casing.....

I've had bacteria turn a fantastic looking tray of chips back to "clean" wood chips in a couple of days.......

If you think it's going bad, try an experiment with it......case that with potting soil and Naturscapes mulch and leave it alone for two weeks....

Layering the cultures on top of a cardboard "bottom liner" helps keep water from pool in the bottom of the container....since woodies take so long it can be a problem.....

Stamets says...... "move it or loose it"......Mycelium Running..........

You're a wealth of knowledge @Arathu regarding these woodies(AND MANY many others) and I always enjoy your responses.  @Fahtster.. glad your tub is confirmed by someone OTHER than myself that it's fine and now we both know, BACK up off the Mister(I can be mist heavy myself at times with passive Air grows).

Latest snow on record unless today's weak flurries count...

Not sure if I'm missing anything with no grains. Keeps the critters away for endgame.
This round I boiled my wood with gypsum and coffee for the hell of it.
If the wood colonizes which it constantly does I figure it'll get the rest it needs from Mother.

Was digging in my beds today. They are big they can handle the fingering...Cyans and ovoids ran into the soil and I've stuck to wood only.

A few spots that I dropped one tupperware and was bad about watering is slowly colonizing.

I have a few spots where war will happen next year. KO, Shii, and Cyans are all within a few meters and those mycs have to have collided at this point. Hard to tell a difference all WOODIES are brilliant white.
The reishi looks well. Wine Caps is munching away. LM is just fucking up everything in it's path.
When is their too much substrate and my neighbors are going to wonder what these poms are?

I know....no one listens.......hahahaha  They will also run the local spider webs if you look closely and carefully enough....

1/3 potting soil with fertilizer and 2/3 Naturescapes mulch, 7/8th field capacity, damp and fluffy are your friend....

Here's more for ya. Since were wood fiends here's a 1/4 of my lineup. Various wood particles, softwood mulches, and yard detritus

We listen we're all just stuck in our own ways. This batch I'm following your guidelines instead of following my feels...I'm brainstorming wood/verm cakes to see if I can fruit in my basement or throw it outside to induce pinning.

Here is Ps. Serbica going from agar to fortified wood. Hopefully I can ...uh....W2W? It, taking the colonized wood and making more. Then into potting soil and Naturescapes like a very wise man told me.

Btw, I fortified the wood by soaking it in dilute plant fertilizer (thx Ferather).
