Well you mentioned that everything "I" cuz I guess you were refering to me? was only sub-par dubstep and that new stuff sucks, I beg to differ

I agree theres alot of crap out there now a days but if you look for the right producers they are still cooking golden tunes

I was more referring too the fact that dubstep is now mainstream and moving away from what I consider "dubstep"
12th planet, Chrispy, Caspa, Benga, Rusko and Skream are what I usually listen too, everything else has too much wobble and not enough tune.

I really hate the attitude that dubstep brought with it .. back in the late 90's early 2000's the electronic music scene wasn't as big as it is now in the US and people didn't have this attitude toward other styles of EDM.. you had your hard core trance people but they still exist and your house and breaks djs flipping between both styles or sticking to of them ( it was breaks for me) but you didn't have people giving death threats because some one that was trance dj was playing dubstep ( so I read a while back).. people didn't say ohh that's only sub par break beats or sub par house music.. everyone jammed out to what the dj was playing and loved it... I guess because you have all these "kids" wanting to become dj's and the digital age is making it a lot easyer for some one to just got out and purchase some equipment, hit the sync button and call it a "mix". don't worry cause your dubstep (which I love) is going to disappear here shortly.. because it has become so mainstream a lot of the producers are going back to making house/breaks/trance music cause they feel as the trend is about over. me and my partner joke around about it calling it commercial-step since its everywhere now even including nerd candy and car commercials... trap music is where its at right now anyways ..lol ide post some of my mixes but all I have up right now is some house mixes, and I don't even spin house unless asked..

Well i used to listen to those in the begining too but unfortunately most of them went comercial and party style and im just not diggin it much these days

out of those you mentioned my fav would have to to skream and benga they produce decent tunes

here one of my fav from benga
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwFJFOl4KwA

and a massive one from 12thplantet
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-e2kVFHgc0
But im not diggin his latest tunes, I think he even did a colab with skrillex? what happened there? lol

So you say too much wobble not enough tune? Are you using subwoofers? or at least headphone? cuz if not you cant aprecciate most part of the tune which is the beloved bass

@ shugz I agree, alot of dubstep producers have already moved away, but there are still some decent underground artists keeping the scene real. Minimal, bass-heavy dubstep still has a massive following, and IMO it's as alive as ever, people like Cyrus, Tunnidge, Distance, the DMZ crew, Goth Trad, Icicle and many others are still making solid tunes. It's just there's soooo much garbage that you really need to search for it.

Keep em coming people! My wife would love a lot of this stuff. I'm looking forward to mixing it.

I haven't heard as much good, dark, trippy dubstep as I have commercial, blaring, poppy and lyrical.
