Just another pic b4 harvest + the new second flush coming in,,,they seem to be getting more robust looking with time...
The rings have been under attack from squirrels -a couple of small holes in the screens but so far no mushies eaten...the force field is holding Capt'n..:amazed:

  :headbang:  truly sweet setup. u gotta love the great outdoors. after readin this thread my foaf went str8 outside and thanks to all the wonderful info here, set him up a little sumpin. Not 2 be nosy Golly, but can u give me an approx. latitude? Ya think this should go as planned at about 38-42 deg lat this time of year? keep them awsom pics a flowin. . 65-95f temps, 40-100 humid. usually higher than lower hum.

Beautifully done Golly!

The best part (in my mind) is that they are shedding spore into the wind!! Good luck spores!! Go make someone happy!

pFost...your soil temp is the determining factor rather than latitude...If u expect the next 4 weeks to have a shady soil temp of 68-82F then yer golden..growth will slow below 68F....
If your RH is generally a bit on the dry side then u could use a tighter mesh screen or cloth to help preserve the moisture levels in the patch...u do want to maintain costant air exchange though...These are the easiest shrooms i ever grew -give er a try...:hitit:

The squirrels have been relentless in their quest for magic and finally tore through the screen....The arms race is escalating with a new steel mesh cone for defence..ha..ha.....Anyway this 2nd flush cluster came thru OK..
These grew pretty tall - about 8 inches on some....

ThanQ guys...I think the semi-enclosed environment inside the ring helps to conserve moisture and humidity while still allowing plenty fresh air...
The third flush has just begun...will post tmrw...
