Well, obviously not "no-one" but all of the music I just gravitate to is completely unheard of by everyone I've ever asked.

Is it me?

Audiophile(s) is the politically correct term for our music addiction EP...

As in:

"I have an undying lust for new bands because I am an audiophile."

Based on this, I'll have to assume that you either don't go to, or don't talk to people at live shows. I'd be willing to bet that people there will have heard of the band.

Also, the only reason people I know, know anything about the music I listen to (most of it anyway), is because I played if for them.

I am all about new music, please share. I'm always looking for something new. Cowboy junkies, I just told somebody that last week and they looked at me pretty weird.

I'm into erratic patterns of the perfect design too. I guess we're both weird. Wait. If two of us are weird, does that make us normal?

I have heard of several of those bands, I am a fan of Carbon Based Lifeforms, have been for years..love them!!!

Darci, you would love a radio show they have here on the college radio station, it's all ambient music and is very cool. Some of the groups you listed fall in the ambient music category.

Checking the music youve posted i see youre into orchestral stuff, personally i like Lorena McKennit , you probably know her , i saw CBL too , i like downtempo and chill as well, check for other Ultimae records artists and Interchill records
but in my very humble opinion dont restrict yourself to one feeling and one type of music, train your ear to seek, i know taste is taste of course but the more you dig ..
my personal latest eargasm dope is Richard Devine's sound ... extra terrestrial music, i wouldnt even think years ago that i would come to love something so different but, there it is now in my mind tickling my inner universe . no boundaries

oh and a brilliant example of contradiction
Richard Devine i mentioned above with that alien, extra terrestrial sounds, in a very gentle approach totally different to his "signature" sound

I've heard VNV-As it Fades and enjoy it. I'm really into soundtrack/ film scores. Hans Zimmer, Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, etc.
