I can see he reference to bromiliad in the flower shape and structure, but i have never seen one with such devilish spines........

These usually flower once, and then produce alot of pups at the base after the original plant dies. Be sure you save some pups....... we may need to talk about this,

The flowers on my bromeliads develop quickly, but this Lil Devil is going at a rate I haven't seen. And really looking good as well.

Dose it look like a type of aloe to you guys too?
Only in formation perhaps. Aloes have very fleshy succulant leaves. The Bromeliads are fiberous leaves with Pineapple or stemmed flowers.
