Be careful, because this stuff will sneak up on you!

Ingredients:

1 gal spiced apple cider

1 gal apple juice

8-10 cinnamon sticks

1-1/2 c. granulated sugar

1-1/2 c. brown sugar

750 ml bottle of 190 proof grain alcohol

1 Liter whipped cream vodka

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot, except for the alcohol, and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Remove the mixture from heat & let cool to room temperature. Once the mixture is completely cool, add in the alcohol. Transfer to sterile mason jars {I use 5 of the big 2000+ ml jars} I also divide up the cinnamon sticks so that each jar has one or two. Store them in a cool dark dry place. ***After a couple of weeks your Apple Pie Moonshine will taste even better.

I made Ma's recipe, gave some out as gifts, a buddy's wife called after he fell into his in-law's Christmas tree. Good stuff!

One question: What is "whipped cream vodka"?

Maybe I am just a sorry dane that is kept totally out of the loop from being a couple of thousand kilometers (NOT MILES hehe) away from the rest of you.

Is it just 50/50 cream and vodka?

I would really like to try this one so a bit of info would be appreciated! :)

No problem my Danish friend.

I believe Mrs. H is talking about flavored vodka, I don’t think there is any actual cream in it. I believe I have seen some at my local liquor store made by Smirnoff, but have yet to try it myself.  I hope that helps.

Happy drinking.

Yes, this is a flavored vodka, no actual cream. Smirnoff has a huge selection of these. It started with vanilla and spiced vodkas, but now has flavors like assorted fruits, toasted marshmallow, and root beer float.

This recipe sounds delicious.

I guess I am just to far away from your market.

We don't have as many of them here, mainly just blackberry, lime and raspberry (talking off the smirnoff-vodka).

Ill buy it if i ever see one - just to try this recipe. :)

JJ, I am not familiar with which part of the Scandinavian Country's you live in, but Pinnacle Vodka is made in France, and was the first to produce a whipped cream vodka. I believe Amazon ships worldwide as well, so it really is just a matter of how bad do you want some?

(Sort of like alot of things I can think of..........)

i had some apple pie the other day, i cant remember exactly what he started with, i think he just fermented the apple juice, then distilled it, then cut it with apple juice, threw in some cin sticks maybee a vanilla bean...but it was weaker than normal, def not 90 proof like he said
