Your sense of color and composition, and your writing style are beautiful.

Oh, Chippy is adorable. Mother Nature, my favorite artist. Your stuff truly captures her wonders. Thanks for sharing.

It was really neat my hubby showed me this arrow head and said "u will never guess where I found this?"

I looked and said "wow thats neat where?"

He told me he found it near the wood pile in the basement well I have cleaned and cleaned the basement from time to time and never seen that but we have wood stored in our basement so I am guessing that this arrow head was once stuck in a tree and that tree is now in the wood stove after being choped up even more so I could lift the smaller blocks ;)

IMG_0344.JPG IMG_0346.JPG IMG_0347.JPG IMG_0348.JPG IMG_0349.JPG IMG_0350.JPG IMG_0351.JPG IMG_0352.JPG

Now my Dad gets the fire wood from Algonquin park in Ontario and this is native territory so easily it could have come from the trees :) what a gift from the trees a warrior symbol :) very much needed for me and my family :)

I am curious I have seen them out of black rock obsidian? i think but never out of this white rock it kinda looks like lime stone but doesnt feel like it I am interested in this rock and what it is ? anyone with info I would appreciate it :)

So cool!!!

It must be a hard stone that will Chip with a sharp, glassy edge to use for arrowheads. Most common is flints or obsidians. This looks like a flint, which comes in many colors but feels smooth and slick.

Thanks buddy :) ......looked it up further with your info and found some interesting things :)

I wanted to share a hunt from 2013 Aug with all this dark winter talk I wanted to share something that helps me with my pain and sometimes when I cannot take it anymore the woods calls to me :)

Come play wild and free ; )

The sun on my face and the brese threw the trees :) the sounds of the birds and chipys :) all my dear friends that calm me :) my hubby has learned that if I am busy and busy and bitchy take me away to the woods and I will feel much better

IMG_4900.JPG IMG_4904.JPG IMG_4907.JPG IMG_4911.JPG IMG_4921.JPG IMG_4948.JPG IMG_4949.JPG IMG_4950.JPG IMG_4953.JPG IMG_4955.JPG

I love sharing my pictures with all of you but too much computer work hurts too so I will work a bit at a time it is something I love so I will keep doing it anyway :) just take breaks to stretch ;)

The woods is calling to me man it has been way too long but I will sneak up and be a little wild in the snow :) maybe make a snow angel : )

This is the first mushroom group we found on the hunt some orange Lactarius Later I have some pictures of it bleeding orange

post-121976-0-66595800-1389440646.jpg

and next green Russulia <spelling? .... I love the color

and a close up

post-121976-0-93903400-1389440674.jpg

Some metallic shine to them these r found beside a road and in the run off zone so they r not suitable for collecting ...mushrooms can absorb heavy metals some can anyway and beside a road in the run off this could contain some dangerous levels of metals maybe? so I just had a nice look at them I notice in areas like this the mushrooms do have a shine to them in the sun if they get a lot of sun they become a gold color almost ....

post-121976-0-66687300-1389440740.jpg

This one I think is an Amanita I left it alone I didnt want to dig it up and end it for the mushroom just so I can check out a bulb on a mushroom I don't want to eat ;)
