how long do you print for?

The time I leave the cap on the print depends on the strain/climat/age.
Sometimes I leave it on for 12 hours and make a second print from one cap.
And sometimes I leave it there for 24 hours, and make 1 print !
And sometimes... I fail ,like my first brasils,..it was to hot and they dried out !!! (I had a very good flush, but not a decent print !)

I just read in another thread that if you were to clone a mushroom that made it through invitro that the inoculation of jars with a clone syringe would possibly show a better yield. Is that the reason it is done here? To find the "best of the best" so to speak as in who made it through to the fruiting?

Very informative. Thank you.

Cloning is one way to assure yourself that your working with a fruiting substrain. It can increase yields, and you can clone specific mushrooms in order to see that specific trait in the next batch of cakes or casings that you grow. Least thats my take on it.
Looking good spacecake.

And I still have the casing in it's second flush...
The casing is growing very slow, temperatures are very high here, but that doesn't seem to effect the shroom that much !
(We have heat wave after heatwave, here in the Netherlands !)
Only a couple of shrooms showed up out of the casing. (see pictures)
Cakes did very wel and I have made a couple of prints, the rest (the small shrooms) are in the drying chamber (picture) for later use... :crazy1: ;)
Sorry no pictures of the printed ones, but some of them where as big as my hand, but I don't use these for consumption, they always taste like shit :drk:
