This month’s copy of popular mechanics had a small article about these folks and their “do it yourself still kits”.

Just need a couple of simple hand tools and you could make one of these in an afternoon.  I found it kind of cool, so I thought I would share it here with my topian friends.

I'm pretty sure I could stir up a little trouble with one of those, may have to throw one together ;)

I agree, it’s a really nice looking product when finished, copper just looks cool.   I think one would look awful nice at my house.

Looks like it would be fun to put together too.

I don't drink, but I think I would have fun putting one together, making shine for friends. The crafts of distilling, and brewing has always interested me. Thanks for sharing, Juthro.

this place sells stills, but also, if you dont act stupid saying youre gonna distill ethanol, they will help you pick and choose what pieces you want

just so you knows, a 50# bag of detrose and a packet of distillers yeast will brew up 16.5 gallons of mash at about 24%, which will yield over 3 gallons raw or about 6 gallons of cut stuff, 80-90 proof. or a 5 gallon jug of molasses(yields rum...must be flavored) or agave(i think it weighs about the same, this yields tequilla
