It’s a Pacific Loon if I am not mistaken. We also get the Red Throated Loons here, but I haven’t seen any yet this season.

I’m not sure if the eagle is an immature Bald Eagle, or a Golden Eagle, I think it’s a small Golden but I’m not 100% sure.

And of course the other one is a duck.

Nice looking Cock by the way, lol.

My money's on immature bald eagle.

Lot's of geese went over here today.  Last week it was sand hill cranes.  I should put a toll booth up there and make them pay me.

The first to pics make me long for those shitty, raining days sitting in the duck blind, just waiting for a couple of birds to "park."

I got another couple of pics today.   This is of a  Raven getting a drink in the middle of the lake, and then one of him flying away.

He was a big specimen, I would say about a 4 to 4 ½ foot wing span on him.  He was a little larger than the juvenile Eagle that I posted earlier.

Beautiful pics! Always wanted to take the bike on a road trip to Alaska.

Thanks, I enjoy sharing my pics. I'm glad others enjoy them as well.

I personally have never traveled the Alcan highway (Canada won’t let me cuz I’ve been bad, lol) but taking the ferry out of Washington is a cool way to go. The Inland Passage is beautiful, if you ever get the urge and chance I would strongly advise it. I know of no other place on earth like it. The ferry is a lot more lax about searching your belongings as well, as compared to planes or border crossings.

I’ve often thought it would be cool to do it on a bike. They let you ride it off at the various ports of call on the marine highway and see the sights, just don’t be late getting back or the ferry will leave without you. When I was bringing my rigs and belongings up on the ferry there were even a couple of gals from Spain who were on bicycles. Quite adventuresome of them I though.

The raven in flight is absolutely beautiful.  We have more ravens here than crows.  I am a big fan.

Thank you Alder, I get lucky with a pic now and then. I am going to call this one of the lucky ones, they (ravens) generaly seem to be shy when I have my camera. This one didn't see me, as I was inside the house. I took the pic through the kitchen window.

They are very intelligent and impressive birds, I too am a big fan.

It’s that time of year hear, bring on the baby ducks.

Saw the first batch yesterday, there should be three or four more hatches here in the next two or three weeks.

And I need to make a correction.  I incorrectly identified what I thought was a pacific loon earlier in the thread.   While we do have some red throated loons on the lake, what I posted a pic of earlier turned out to be Barrow’s Goldeneye, which is also a diving duck.

Got some pics of an eagle that just nailed a  duckling.   It was all the zoom my camera had, as it was on the far side of the lake, so I apologize if they (the pics) are a little grainy.  This is a very impressive adult eagle, I would estimate his wing span at around 6 1/2 feet.

That's cool man. I like the aggressive look of the third bird in first post, and the last one was sweet. Where do you find the time to catch all these birds? lol

Thank you brother, I'm glad that others enjoy the pics as well.
All of these pics but the last set with the mature bald eagle were taken through the window from inside my living room. The last set were taken outside from the deck.

From the living room? That makes it about 10,000x cooler brother. I live in a cool mountainous region but that is one thing I don't get to see. Props!
