For some reason, all of your images only show up to me like this:

76747364_10159088590959832_6935181759839469568

And I can still see them but I have to right-click and select "show image" (on a Mac). I suspect it might be because you're linking to an off-site image rather than uploading it to the site. So now I wonder if that's a bug or a security feature?

But anyway, I wonder how long it takes adults to notice if a kid is wearing this?

It did bring back memories of my first knife and rock fight, which were pleasant 'cuz I won. Technically it was my second but the first didn't count since I climbed a tree and refused to come down to engage the kids who treed me (one of whom was holding a knife). I won the second with the rock, by the way. It had way better range than the other kid's knife and I played a lot of baseball as a kid. Ahh, memories. I wrote up the story for an assignment in my 9th-grade English class that was supposed to be about a "fond childhood memory" and freaked out the teacher a little. It titled it "Crimson Victory," lmao...

I don't have any commentary to add here:

I tried to quote her toe teeth post and my post wouldn't post.  I look at the image sources and they appear to be from off-site posts, maybe passing through flakebook.

Anyway, I was going to comment on the toe/teeth saying, "I hope she flosses."

All this kind of deadens the joke.

Yup, I just noticed that when I open the image it's got a FB icon in the tab where the 'Topia mushroom would be. And my extensive array of script/tracker/malware blockers block all things related to FB with extreme prejudice in certain contexts.

Since I can see them if I open them separately from 'Topia it seems to me that they're blocked from opening directly on the site because the link also functions as tracking malware and my blockers are detecting that (and doing a great job!).

This of course means that I won't click on any such links in the future because I definitely don't want to work for Facecrook by freely providing them with data.

There once was a President Don ...

... who touted his smarts and his brawn.

But when found in the soup, he cried, "I'm just a doup ...

... and to dumb to run such a con."

I like her "be prepared" mindset. Wearing them all the time in public isn't practical, unlike my stainless steel water bottle with a webbing loop to carry it that I carry most of the time for a bit of extra protection, and water. A few people I know have started carrying one after I demonstrate how to use it since they're pretty amazingly effective.

It functions similar to a brick on a rope in a self-defense context, at least unless I drink all the water. Plus it's legal to carry most places, also functions as an actual water bottle, and doesn't cause concern like carrying around a brick attached to a rope might.
