Have you given thought to grafting one of your pups to a Tricho rootstock?

I have thought about it, and I think I'll use one of the log cuttings. But I have to wait for them to root. Hopefully they show signs of rooting soon, because they could use some water.

And once my seedlings start to look more mature, I may graft to one or two of them. I think they would make great gifts.

I'm enjoying the Fall weather and diving into some this season's hobbies but I do miss working with my cacti. Here are some shots I've taken over the last month.

Some scop grafts starting to pup:

Two survivors....a Bridgesii and a Peruvian.......the bridge is a tip broken off by a thunderstorm.....I laid it on it's side until it popped roots then I put it back in the ground....

The Peruvian I found today out in the cold, freezing cold, helping the wife put up lights. Poor thing was on it's side all matted with leaves and grass.....it's snowed a couple of times already...

Been down in the lower 20's many nights too...the ponds have ice on them......and it's freaking green....the ground is still warm......

Cactus are amazing......cool stuff peeps.....still another spot I'll spend my like's uncontrolled......hahaha

Like a first time really free at the dispensary......

A

Thanks HrVanker. Yeah, I have several bridgesii and it’s fun to see the difference in spination (I think that’s word lol).

Arathu, that’s a trip! I’m curious to see how they bounce back in the Spring.
