My pach yowie × bridg wowie is looking cool, the only survivor (that I didn't give away) of a horrible seedling tray accident.
These SS02 × Eileen greened up are starting to put on some growth after a sprinkling of Grow Better organic cactus fert. These guys are about 6 months old

It's a work in progress right now.
A lot have fallen over but I plan to take cuttings in about 4 months (spring) for something big I've got planned.

The super tall cutting just potted was given to me not too long ago. Pics were shared with the chat peeps when this beast of a log was kicked down to me by a customer.
It say for quite a while in the corner on my living room, where it hit the roof.
As it sat there it decided it wanted to throw some flowers. New buds there from just sitting.
I’m hoping to get some flowers. Fingers crossed.
Second to last pic is some of my very old pedros I finally got back last year. They were abused by nephews with air soft guns and my gram who just left it out and didn’t do anything to it.
Last pic are are another set of cuttings someone was kind enough to hook me up with.
Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Looking good brotha. Damn kids and there guns, haha. How did you score that behemoth, that’s a gracious soul for sure.
Maybe about a month ago? I was working for a customer and asked them about their cactus and they pointed out one of the columns that had snapped off a few months back and I asked if I could have it.
People with large stands of these tend to be very generous when you ask them about their cactus.

Are you in an area that they grow wild? Or grow outside easily?? That’s awesome!! You don’t know if you don’t ask. I’ve missed a lot of free stuff because of my trepidation in asking. Now I ask about anything I see that looks unused, haha.Maybe about a month ago? Each time I just ask them about bit and ask if they get flowers and they offer cuttings !
They do grow outside easily out this way. I try to hibernate them in a greenhouse during winter so frost doesn’t blemish them. But that’s cause I’m at a bit higher elevation.
Really hoping for some flowers!

Looks like you have some flower buds forming.
Just keep doing what your doing lol
To be fair, those buds formed while this log was sitting in the corner of my living room waiting to be potted. My concern is now that it is potted and will be expending a lot of energy into throwing out roots, will the buds develop.
Do you think they will still develop into flowers?

I use a slow release formula from a company called dr Q's. My local nursery (star nursery in nv.) has it in many varieties but I use the cactus/succulent blend twice a year and sulfer also by dr Q. I've had great results and have never worried about over doing it. I will be honest and say in nevada it's really easy to produce great cactus. My point is, your location may affect the uptake in nutrition and the out come may be different.I gave a good feed and took a look at some new pups
