wild, I just want to tell you how much I've enjoyed all the adventures you posted regarding Amanitas. I've been reading a lot of past posts of your experiences with the mushroom and they have amazed me and encouraged me to try and meet the mushroom. I also suffer from seasonal affective disorder and ocassional depression since as long as I can remember, and I would like to experiment on low doses of this mushroom as a tonic.
I know for a fact that they grow in the area I'm living in now. It's been raining for over a week and temperatures have not been too cold (it's winter here) so I went yesterday to a pine forest nearby, and I could smell the sweetness of mycelium in the air, but it got dark too soon for me to keep looking for them. I'll probably head out there tomorrow earlier if rain stops a bit, and we'll see. =)
By the way... awesome photography.

Thank You so Much :)
with every mushroom it is good to check the identification with Amanita's it is very important there is some deadly ones in the bunch I found that this was a part of the healing with me getting over the fear of mushrooms ...My mom had a mushroom phobia we were not alloud to even touch one over coming my fear because I love the taste of mushrooms and wanted to taste every edible I could find :) this has gotten me into the woods more and this is helps with stress it clears your head and gives you something positive to look at and the green the cooler or more less sever weather is always found in the woods :) exersise helps as well :)
and every mushroom has vitamin d i think they make it like we make it with the sun so when u expose your edible mushrooms to the sun before you eat them you r getting a boost of vitamin d which helps with seasonal effective disorder I believe :)
I sat with the other Amanita muscaria gussiwoi spelled something like that lol and they told me that if I wanted to heal they could help me but I would have to try too I believe these and the red Amanita muscaria were given to people to help them get threw cold winters dark cold winters I just had the worst winter I can remember it was soooo cold -40 way too many days usually we only have a few they helped me face this bitter cold to get out and get some sun on my face :) and that always helps with my depression just getting up and out is the hard part sometimes ;)
Thanks my friend for your interst and I am very glad these threads have helped you :) xoxoxoxoxox

I have started putting a small cap of Amanita frostiana in my water bottle for the day filling it up all day
no tiredness at all like with Amanita muscaria var. guessowii
but the one day I had birthday cake it was a wheat free one I wanted to try well I think the baking soda in the cake with the mushroom that day made me sick to my stomach I almost puked .....
same thing happened with crackers that had baking soda in them I actually puked that time
I havent drank anything carbonated for a long time cause with these mushrooms I will puke plus all that sugar isnt good for ya anyway
I should mention that weather its the hunt or the smell of the mushroom or the taste of it gets me kinda frisky ;) I would have to say they have their differences .....
I swallowed one cap in the water bottle by accident and nothing really happend out of the ordanary with this mushroom
that was 4-5days ago ...and had a 1/3 piece in my cold coffee this morning
I noticed that the dry mouth from the joint was gone so it helps the mucus membraines create more moisture I find many mushrooms have a slimy quality ...some witches butter or tree ear can be used on the hands for moisture healing cracked dry hands
helps my doggy too when she looses all her summer fir keeps her from drying out too much
the slimy Suillus can help with dry skin as well I have tried it out a few times :)

When I have tried this mushroom in the last little bit I have been licking the top holding it in my mouth against my gums not swallowing the mushroom.
I have not exceeded a small cap or a 1/4 piece of a larger one
I have more energy not feeling tired one bit
I have felt less inhibition ....wild is more wild :) ....
lol willing to try new things willing to take the steps I need to to heal.
willing to see hard things in my face and deal with them rather than ignore or push them away for later....
don't really trip on them ..... more feelings body kinda feels tingly noticed more saliva not drooling but dry mouth is gone ....I cannot remember anything else about this mushroom at the moment .....
they do taste good and they do make other things taste good I remember cooking them in scrambled eggs once one cap yum yum
I smell these mushrooms too cannot put my finger on exactly but i feel different when I can smell them I have a bad sense of smell and do not really smell them but i will start humming a tune :) same one every time :)

You’ve got some beautiful amanitas growing around you, what wonder pictures! Yesterday on a walk near my job I found some mushrooms, what look like amanita mushrooms to me anyway - these were mostly white colored rather than the yellow you are finding in the woods, but beautiful nonetheless. Thank you for sharing!!
