I used to sorta work in the medical field, and it was required every year for me for a while. Never bothered since then.

After ending up in the emergency hospital one year with severe dehydration from flu, I do now get a flu shot every year.

I've never had one, not that I'm phobic (well, maybe a little, lol) or unwilling, its just never played out that way.

When I lived in a city and spent time at airports, I got the shots.

 

I stopped when I moved to the rural setting because I thought that sitting in a large room filled with people even older than me put me at more risk of catching flu than the protection of the shot warranted.

I got sick every year I got the shot and not the other years ....but as said sitting in a room full of people waiting for the shot some u hear are sick already well you get sick touching things they have touched like the door knob or that pen over there ;)

the reg flu shot is soposed to be a dead virus not one that can make you sick but there is one that is alive and has the possibility to make you sick but very low ....its the people at the clinic that have made you sick ;)

I have been thinking about it this year cause you can get it at the pharmacy easy but .... I work with sick and old people I should get my shot but they all get theirs and I could use a little time off lol ;)

Talking about germs and viruses what are peoples thoughts about the recent Ebola outbreak? Im quite nervous as im in the uk and it has already hit spain which is mainland europe so i dont think it will be long until it hits our shores.

I did it this year, but it happened to be free and I was already on overtime so I said what the hell.  Hope it was not a mistake, it didn't take nearly as long as I had hoped.

I haven't gotten it for several years, including this year. I heard that the guy who was admitted into the dallas, tx hospital with ebola died today.

Yea they found a case in Westchester, NY of Ebola. Shit is getting serious.

 

All the more reason for me to isolate lolz

Never had one. Nothing against them, just grew up with a paranoid mother and never even got them as a child. Haven't gotten any of the vaccinations to be honest, always found some obscure piece of paperwork to exempt myself.

It's horrible to think a serious epidemic is right under our nose...I got my first flu shot today at my new physician office. I can't say I have ever really wanted one hearing so many bad things about vaccines. When I was pregnant I was low in in my MMR shot measle mumps rubella, anyway I started research on how rubella started. It first came about in the 60's it caused 200,000 thou dans neonatal deaths and a huge amount of spontaneous abortion. I fear for my children with ebola and entrovirus making it's way around. This world needs to go back to living with less chemicals and freezer meals...

One should know the story of the MMR shots at least.  If you didn't get one, you didn't have as much to fear.  BTW, I just heard that a USDA whistle-blower has stepped up and said they falsified reports on MMR.  Autism abounds and it didn't have to happen.

Hmmm the people who lived through rubella in the womb have multiple defects heart,eyes,as well as mental disabilitys. Come to find out I am one of the lucky people that the MMR shot wears off in 5 years.

never want a flu shot until forced lol , i dont really get that sick often anyway , that i cant fix with a bit of basil leaves and rest
