hey peace frog , its hard to say why people have better luck with some mixes and
others fall short.
I had trouble with both coir and straw in the beginning. I now have
better luck with straw and coir after more work with them.
I have never used coffee
grounds but I am going to try.
I am going to try some straight straw grows, using cold pasteurization using hydrated lime or soap.
saving my coffee grounds for a grow.

I think you will like the straight straw grows. They can give you some great yields IME.

That's great I have a zombie tub pinning now. Had to do trich surgery on it but it looks fine now.
bummer on the trich, you definitely need more FAE . get more holes in the tub, especially at the sub surface, clear out the co2.
thats why i prefer the mist n fan

nice complete idea wharf, thanks for this!
you put in measurements for all the ingredients and pictures of the whole process.
archive material - coir, peat, and vermiculite.

You can also add fret to your water. My last grow which can be read on here was similar.
Very good read.

How long after I case should I see start seeing pins?? Fruiting around 78 degrees
average 10 days, but up to 14, i've even seen 21 days.. just keep fanning 3 times a day, or more.. i mist once a day until they pin then twice a day, every other fanning in my case.

Great. so mist the sub 1xday and then once i see pins do i keep misting the sub or just the walls of the chamber? And also will the whole surface of the casing layer colonize with mycilium before fruiting really begins?

usually IMO the casing layer will not colonize, that's why we use a non-nutritive casing material.. it's strictly there to retain moisture. and yes i continue to mist the sub, and misting the mush wont hurt, just give them a good fanning after you mist.
