You are really making me want to fruit something! Its been awhile since i actually fruited anything and im thinking maybe 100% straw with a thin coir moisture barrier. Your porn is dragging me back in! :)

I've been playing a microwave "tek" that uses field capacity straw and once colonized, just hitting it with verm and letting it fruit, I have one in the FC now..

i've had good success with straw logs fruited in an FC like cakes.. i used the skinnier food saver bags, packed spawn and straw in to them, colonized, then cut the bag off and fruit them in an FC. no casing required

My microwave "tek" uses tupperwares and I just pop the lid when ready to fruit, IMO it holds the moisture a little better and if it fruits underneath "invitro", I just pull the fruits..

Nice wright Wharfrat.
Question. Is there any special way to prep the coffee grounds. Like soak them? Rinse them?
Or just use them after they cool down from making coffee?

Gotch yea.
Now should I mix this recipe up and put it in my rubber maid shoe box. Put a cover on it and forget about it for a few days?

Am I missing something here, you have colonized three or four different substrates, all sterilized, with only inert materials, or of slight nutritional value. Where is the myc getting it's nutes to grow out so many times?

I have or am just about done colonizing popcorn in a jar.
I know what my problem is. I did an extra step I believe.
What I was thinking at the beginning is that I will colonize a jar of popcorn then poor some of it in separate
dishes of substraight to grow my mushrooms.

that's how it's done.. but your dishes/tubs might be small if you are only using one jar

just follow the Tek to a T.. once spawn is mixed, ten days minimum.. maybe 12.. once 100% colonized

the coffee
there is only 1 substrate, which is coir, and it does have slight nutes.. you only use enough verm to get to field capacity.. it's the coffee that provides most the nutes
