In a recent forum review, we decided to combine the
two Forums, Mycotopian Offerings and VIP Marketplace.
This will make more sense, as they have been used
interchangeably for a while now.

I'm new and lost. Can't find any forum that lists vendors. Where are they hidden?

Never mind - I found them.

We don't have sponsored or even
advertising vendors at this time,
so your info is likely outdated.

How do you donate money? It seems like a worthy cause.

Does PayPal charge the user rather than the vendor? How much? Obviously that was the point at which we parted company.......
My daughter used a "gofundme" website that charges 7% to the recipient of the money, and nothing to the donator.
Would that be out of the question?
I don't know how much other sites charge, or how, but I donated to my daughter and it was seamless, and secure.

Looks like it charges us. If one donated 25 dollars, the received amount is 23.97 making a .9588% tax...seems to vary but it's around that number on my donations.

PayPal charges 2.9% for all transactions unless you are "pro" in which case you can get it down to 2.24% or similar. This is a charge to the person accepting the money. Typical merchant providers charge upwards of 3.5% for "card not present" internet style transactions going down to the 2.2% range for card present ones.
Most also charge up to 0.30$ per transaction as well.
Typically this is an absorbed cost to the merchant and is invisible to the customer, but in recent years, and especially with smaller merchants, there has been a resurgence in charging the customer for the convenience of using a particular payment processor. So in our case, using PP, we would charge you an additional 2.9% on your 30$ purchase, making it a total of 20.87$ and giving us a total of 30$ after PP fees. However, since you are "donating" that model doesn't make too much sense. Once the store is active and people begin "purchasing" then it may make more sense to ensure our processing expenses get covered as we'll likely have multiple payment processing options at that time as well for your convenience.

a store is a good idea , many want to buy from here.
just how much are we as a community short?
? we could raise it with spore sales and add books, videos, seeds of different kinds...ect
bit a $ figure might help us to deliver.

I'm just a NewB and I appreciate that every cent counts somewhere, but I'm good with whatever happens here. From my perspective I can't see any value in hemming over such small amounts given somebody has to enable the transfer and nothing is free.

my thoughts are POSTAL MONEY ORDERS.
THEY are cheap to buy & the person can use any name they want when they send IT & ya know its good (the money order) OR even Western Union has M.O's for only about a buck! well starting anyway BUT THERE AGAIN the "vendor" knows its good.
Just my two cents but if it where my decision i would go w/the M.O's.
A) because they cannot be disputed IF someone screws up their product & wants to blame the vendor.
B) BUT of course "the VENDORS" would have to be genuine too+
and i KNOW that spores are legal by mail.
don't know about the books though cuz you will never beat the price of AMAZON & make $$$
i see how much Homestead charges for their books & vids which i have gotten much cheaper elsewhere.
Just my thoughts again.................Good luck & ready to buy a little something ....................but seeds are really what's needed HERE now & NOT many ship w/in the US or as far as i can tell/found~. AND CANNOT PAY $ 20.OO per seed that may or may not be "FEMMED"
