This is a really nice chill album to just relax to. I like to put it on sometimes and just lay in bed letting my thoughts wander. It's by a band called Lantlos, which is old German for "landless" or basically "without country". All of the lyrics are sung in English.

Lantlos --- "Melting Sun"

My favorite is track 4 - "Jade Fields". This is the first song I heard by them on internet radio and I fell in love immediately and had to own the album.

The interesting thing about this album is that this is totally uncharacteristic of the band's normal sound. They used to be a black metal band and this album is quite dreamy and tranquil. I've fallen in love with quite a few previously death/black/hard metal bands that ended up going softer down the line.

Here's a review article about the band and this album in particular:

Modest Mouse is always super chill, and I've been listening to a lot of Shakey Graves lately.

"chill" is highly subjective.

Any portis head fans?

Yes portishead's good tripping musak.

And Massive Attack, nearly anything they do but I usually start off with (sorry Im old) Mezzanine from start to finish.

Recorded in 1966! Listen to some of the electric guitar fret work and then ... in 1966 Man!

I'm not going to link to anything, but my choices would be Acoustic Alchemy- Against the Grain, or Arcanum, and America's very first self titled album.

So Sorry! I gotta add Ambrosia's debut album! What they did to never see that album, in any form available on the market, for so many years   makes me ill!
