that we will be migrating to a new server over the course 

of the next few days. If you notice specific issues that 

seem to be related to this migration, please post them

in this thread, for quick reference by staff. Thanx.

I don't know If you all started this migration yet. But I was writing quite a lengthy PM and the page crashed and reloaded without the the text I had wrote. I lost the whole post. Now I expect this with my windows PC, but this has never happened to me with IOS. Maybe it's time for break from Topia or maybe my technology. I feel better after venting now. Thank you to all of you that make this place work. I am done with my freak out... Carry on!

Ooh the big box! I can only buy the lil boxes where I am at. I used to take the whole stack and then the guy started charging me double after a lil while. So now I buy one box at a time and pay with a credit card... Lol

I must have missed this announcement... Probably cuz I'm mostly browsing on my phone lately lol Anyway... Will the site be down for a while or is it staying up during the migration? I know next to nothing about computers lol

I probably know less about computers. . . But my understanding is there won't be a large downtime, just possibly interruptions. We are not switching forum programs/formats, which is where our last extended downtime had problems. We are simply switching servers, which isn't nearly as big a deal, as I understand. Hopefully most people won't even notice.

Oh ok cool... Haven't noticed anything yet :) I really need to smell nag champa... I'm kinda ashamed to admit I have never smelled it. I often burn patchouli...

Moving to another server? Shouldn't be too many issues with that, I don't think. Just have to switch everything over is all and I doubt most of us will notice any major issues.

 

If you do notice any issues, go do something else for a few hours or a day or two and then check back. Should be a non-issue then.

Hey Alder...

 

Once I went to amsterdam and found that big box in Kuiper Market... brought 4 of those with me! It's been 3 years now and one box is still new... I vaccum sealed each box in separate, so they smell like new...

 

I've got some of those pyramids too (never seen those before or after), but didn't like them too much... I also got a couple of other Nag Champa "flavours" (didn't know those existed either), but nothing like the original...

 

What is it with the Nag Champa, huh? It's just unexplainable... once a friend, who had never seen Nag Champa before (not common in my country), arrived at my house and the first thing he said was "what's that incense smell... it's awesome... somewhat of spiritual..."

PS.: apologies for getting away from the original topic... so far I've had no problems with the migration (except for the donation pane in the main page, which still shows March to me, but no longer display the top-donors).

probably has nothing to do with the server move but my PM's have been vanishing.. i write, post, come back later to see if i got a reply, but my post is gone. and those on the other end never received. there are nothing in my PM's that would warrant a deletion.. hopefully this is just a fluke, or i was just really fkn high and deleted them myself
