This is a great one if you like male vocals, guitar, insightful lyrics, relaxation, but also flying high over clouds and nations to enjoy the music and melody and learn something about what it might mean to be human...

Anathema --- "Judgment"

This is the album that I kept listening to again and again and again in the summer of late 2008 while tripping on probably more LSD than I ever needed to.

But you know... It's left an imprint on my mind and I think it sounds pretty decent and relaxing while sober to this day.

Very good music that isn't too crazy. It's often quite relaxing and haunting, really.

Give it a chance:

Not that many artists putting out concept albums that are meant to be listened to from start to finish like Tull or Floyd used to do these days. The industry now is geared to putting out hit singles and no B sides. I think this is in large part driven by media and communications technology and not by consumers wants. It's a shame because a lot of the best stuff is being left on the cutting room floor. I can think of tons of albums that had better songs on the B side than the hit on the A side.
A side? B side? Holy crap I feel old :-(

Nine inch nails - With Teeth.

Trent Reznor certainly managed to create a complete concept album with this one. Takes one on a journey into the meat grinder of daily life and then sets you down with a karmic warning set to Reznorized lullaby of metal and melody.

You get all the love that you deserve. It makes you examine yourself like any good tripping album should.
