I went west for a while. South Central Co. High dessert and Mountains. Stunning and humbling at same time.
Big difference from Illinois Farmland folks. 20 yrs younger, right now, I'd still be there.
So I camped, fished for trout, hiked, squatted, made some friends, found temporary work, and stayed a while.
I stayed as long as I could. I had to return because I knew the wife wasnt taking care of bills and shit. I did want a house to return to. so... I'm back.
Oh btw Kansas Sucks Balls. Most boring/ dead state ever. Glad I only had to see it at night. And!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!, if you drive from CO through Kansas east bound. somewhere between CO and the tollway on 70 you will run into "CURRENCY AND DRUG TRAFFIC CHECKPOINT" BE PREPARED TO STOP! DOGS IN USE! .
Dont exit, dont brake, just cruise on through. If you have out of state plates, expect to be pulled over about 1-2 miles down the I-70. Running Totally legal or not.
We were, by all appearences 100% legal. Still pulled us over. 1 am of course.
We were not legal at all. lol Everything was out of reach and put away so I was not too concerned.
It was basically harassment. He tried to say he pulled us over because our tags and registration didnt match? WTF? BS.
We were in a chrysler, bought from chrysler, by a chrysler employee, only owner, and everything we had was right.
We started hammering the cop with questions. both of us talking same time. Doubting his claim, asking how do I fix this then? what exactly doesnt match etc... he ran our DL's and came back all flustered. As soon as he got to the window, I started in again without letting him get a word out. "So, What did they say, how do we fix, how many miles to so and so, blah blah.
It took all of about 30 seconds of that shit and he was done.
" You fellas Have a safe trip Home" hahaha Yup we will occifer lol.
POstin some cool pics later. more story as well
