On November 3, 2015 the citizens of Ohio will have to opportunity to vote on Issue 3, an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Ohio!

The measure, upon voter approval, would legalize the medical and personal use of marijuana for persons who are 21 years of age or older

it legalizes several grow sites throughout the state and will allow adults

over 21 to cultivate 4 plants for their own personal use.

It specifies four flowering plants, hopefully that leaves room in the interpretation for mothers/clones.

Take the money out of the hands of the criminal element and back into the hands of individual people. (Criminal element refers to the governmento-drug cartel complex)...

California has proven that legalizing medicinal use only does not work. All people should be free to grow any plant they can gain benefit from. The problems remaining with medical approval only, is there is still a opportunity to make alot of money with massive discrete indoor grows, and the external cartel supply lines have not been broken, as sourcing does not need proof in most situations.  Add to that the conflict between state law and federal, and the unfair twisting of public approval gets abused by over zeleous federal agents whos sole purpose of dispensary raids is based on harrasment. I personally know corruption within city government has led to harrasment, and the extortion of moneys from some of the most caring and reputable dispensarys, There are still city oficials that force ridiculous fees on dispensary locations to keep their business location. The money gets pocketed. Refusal to buckle to this extortion results in harrasment with regular raids to disrupt, business, and eventually leveraging the location owner to evict or be subjected to more forms of restrictive harrasment,  forcing the dispensary to leave the city or pay extortion fees to be left unharrassed in their business.

I have seen this with some of the kindest, caring, and well educated dispensarys. They focused on providing the best verified through testing medicines, and would go the extra mile to help the patient who needed advice and recomendation, or was low income. There is obviously a substantial percentage of customers who have cards but not a severe pain issue. They get the same respectful and helpful assistance as they should.

I want to see the archaic laws of prohibition abolished nationwide. If alcohol can remain leagal (which causes far more harm without question) Cannabis should be as free as any plant one can grow in their own yard. There will always be room for industry to provide the highest quality and percent ratios specific to need or desire.

Go Ohio !!!!!

Sounds like the powers that be know the direction the ball is rolling, and know they cant stop it. So they are trying to ingrain themselves for maximum profit and control.

This would be a tough call for me. Vote to legalize something close to my heart and hope the laws get changed for the better down the road, or vote to keep things status quo, until better legislation is written to vote on.

I admit I have not been following this ballot as well as I should, so all the information I have studied has been supplied here by my friend Mr Gumball. I think I have been somewhat pacified, and occupied by the implementation of my states own legalization and its progression. Even being legal, the powers that be are still fighting hard here to keep as much control a they can. It is still quite a fight, and as of yet, you still cant purchase 'LEGAL' pot here.

Haters gotta hate it seems.

After "they" have decided the legality - pro and con

I promise to decide whether to start or quit or not.............yet again.

Until such time, I don't give a rat's ass one way or another.

Until we can all grow legally and responsibly....one does what one does. Refuse to pay for herbs which can easily be grown.

I've never had a decent tomato from the grocery store and I don't trust big industry to provide one to me on the store shelves. Therefore, I enjoy heirloom tomatoes by producing them myself. Haven't bought tomatoes in a looooooooooooooooooooong fucking time either. Fruits, vegetables, herbs.......you name it.........if big industry is involved, it's not good for YOU......it's good for dividends and profits. I so hope I die in my sleep tonight. Prayers for the less fortunate. Sometimes the hopelessness gets to be overwhelming.

By the way, if you were waiting for me to give you permission to do something for yourself.............granted!

I've had it with monopolies. I've hated the game ever since the first time I played.

Fuck 'em

Go O HIGH  O, its about freedom.

I  believe we should be able to grow our own tomatoes or cannabis, if we don't want to grow we can buy at the market.

we are allowed to brew 200 gallons  of beer or wine a year why not cannabis?

I hear you Hyph, I don't like how the prop is written either. But (if I am reading it correctly), it at least would allow adults to cultivate their own (4 plants I believe).

Even if it passes, I can see a lot of litigation over if it is truly a monopoly. I certainly think it is with the way it is written.
