Your jars are looking good. Foaf's jars took about 10 days until she saw pins, they should be coming anytime now. Good job!

Temp is 85? A great temp for colonizing mycelium but you might want to lower it a bit for fruiting. Room temp of about 74 usually does the trick. Try birthing the cakes.

thanks Shobimono and Captainmax. ;)
i will drop the temps and birth the jars. would DEC be applicable to Pans?
i was checking out Southparks pic http://mycotopia.net...16&d=1155285328 and it looked like it was cased with something other than verm.

I wouldn't remove the cakes from the jars unless you can cover the sides with casing material. Pans need a casing to pin.

I have fruited Pans on half cakes [sliced vertically] with flat side down and cased with peat/verm and a pinch of past poo...If it's been two weeks since full colo with no pins - it maybe worth a try....

thanks everyone for all the help. i cut a few cakes in half and cased for now with verm and used the peat/poo casing that was already on them to mix and case with. i have one cake dunking, and the bulk tubs are catching on, i wish i could do more but i will not be around for the next 24 hours. i have a good feeling though :D

trying to force matters to move faster
is generally a bad idea.
we see more failures caused by excessive tampering
than we do from neglect.

Thanks Hip. Those words describe exactly what i have done. i have tampered with them too much already, i expect to have to try again
patience is the key.

but i am happy to be part of the learning process :)

no luck. i had the evil trich, on not only the pans but allot of tex strain jars i had fully colonized. also trich on several bulk tubs.

everything was moved outdoors, and my fingers are crossed.

the reason for the trich i figure, was my house was recently spackled and painted, and there is a thick layer of dust on everything in the house.

i am going to start over, after a full house cleaning, with attention to detail.

i am patient and determined, so it's okay.

my one hope is that i have two fully colonized pan. cyan cakes in the fridge.
any ideas how i should attempt to fruit them?

Sorry to hear that mycobri !

Did you use the Waylits formula with those jars that you still have in the fridge ?

i did ten jars using Waylit's recipe, except i used c-poo instead.
10:10:2 verm/c-poo/brf and later cased with 50:50 cactus soil/verm

these 2 cakes also were in very cold spot in the fridge and for a time they were dunked in ice :eusa_doh:
