I see. Is this somehow connected to your breeding endeavor? I need to post some new pics of my plates. Myc is finally making it down the sides of my 1/2 in talk pieces i transferred. I'll do that soon.
Come again? and no, I'm just playing around with recipes..

I need to stop posting from my phone...
The pieces i transfered were a half inch thick. They were tall, and the myc is finally making its way down to the new food source.
I was keeping them in the basement at about 60 degrees, but moved it to my colonization closet that's about 70. they are doing a lot better now.
This one didn't make it.
These are looking pretty good since i moved them.
Some nice thick fluffy stuff.

So it's about time that I put something here, I'm way behind on my actual agar work but this is an example of the benefits. This is my malabar culture that I've been working on. It's probably a genetic isolate at this point (meaning it kept showing completely uniform radial growth but I didn't do the test to see if they join from two inoculation points on agar). I did approximately 6 transfers of the rhizo that was overrunning itself as a substrain.
From this post:

The pictured pin porn was inoculated on new year's day, so we can assume that it was at 100% at least 5-8 days ago. So at a 1:3 ratio, it made it's colonization run in 7-10 days.

Can you use biochar powder that you make yourself made from hardwood? Does that kind of charcoal have any effect?
