Zen says he has that 'expert' he hired looking into the mail problem ,
seems it's not configured right either
as i cannot even create a new folder,
i hate squirrel mail already!! :gah:
anyway, hang in a few more days
and see what he can do to retrieve my missing mail.

i figured given this problem it would be best to close it to any new entries, sorry.
i just don't want to keep accepting money until i get this one fixed right.

Hippie do you have a shell account on the server/is there a pop3 server running? You could try checking through pop3, or using a mail client from the shell to check the different spools, iirc.

ok, good news and bad news.
zen sez my mail is still all there
but the conversion messed up my folders
and dumped it all in my trash
so he's going to re-import the files into a new folder
and we'll see how that goes.
stay tuned...

saying paypal [if you paypal'd] and the amount

i'll have that list so as soon as zen gets the paypal email retrived

well
not all that many entries to begin with,
at this point only about a dozen members are 'in' the raffle.
i think the only way to procede is to just go ahead and
start awarding the cacti and some gift bundles to those who have responded.
frankly the raffles have really dropped off recently,
it's not even worthwhile as at ten dollars a ticket
by the time i pay packaging and shipping on the prizes
with only a dozen entries or so
the net to 'topia is about twenty bucks.
so i expect this was the last raffle we'll hold here for quite a while.
i'll wait a couple more days to give folks a chance to check in
then we'll start the drawings , proly friday night.

Pm sent.

Here is an idea for you: you could hold raffles out as long as it took to get to a certain amount. Say you have 100 in goods and want to make 100. Wait till you get 200 to pull. Or raffle of less items but to the top 3 people. just some ideas, maybe they'll help. Cause I like the raffle idea. Been excited about it all summer!

I agree with bobcat I am sure you could get some more dough if you open this raffel again I know I myself would want to get in on this and I am sure others do also.

Dang, as a new guy to the raffles, I really thought this would be a great one. But I feel ya hippie, only a dozen or so entries:thumbdown: ? thats sad. The short down time may of contributed to the lack of response, but wtf there is 3x that many people on-line right now. Seems like more topi8's would of pitched in. Maybe the next time, it should be $10 bucks a chance with a 5 dollar donation to cover shipping each person. i love this place, peace
