I know how you feel. People learn real quick how to actually spell entire words when they text me! Laugh out loud is probably the only short phrase I can stand.

Lol ;)

I never made it past tenderfoot.  If I could have learned Morse Code, I would have had it sacked after the navy.  I could have gotten into the Merchant Marine Union as a radio operator.  Known widely as the second best job on a merchant ship.   But my learning disorders make it as good as impossible to learn any code, including computer code.  That's funny because my dad was a code wiz.

My apologies to everyone who attempts to make sense of my writing, punctuation and grammar.     But........ I don't care. Not to be mean ya'll.  It is actually much closer to the way I speak, and until a few years ago I might have bothered. I now have difficulty just posting and keeping key words spelled correctly. lol

Read or do not. It is up to you.

Love you all. Peace

Oh I was always a high honor roll student, and English was one of my favorite courses. haha my poor brain... :)

Sade, you are in danger of invoking the wrath of the repost Nazis.... (Notice that I used 4, not 3 periods in my elipsis)

English was my favorite course in school and in college my minor. I love to read and write in my spare time.

Nowadays I have Agama and Bombadil to correct my horrid grammar. ;)

And it's not that I can't be proper. My thoughts come so fast I have to type them as fast as possible, or I'll lose the thought.

For me if I can understand you I'm fine with it. There are more important things in my life to get my panties in a bunch over then a persons grammar. :P

I cannot type anywhere as fast as I think, but from the days when I started writing on a mechanical typewriter, the dyslexia made it far more difficult to type copy than type out of my stream of consciousness.  I make plenty of mistakes with the latter, but when typing copy, it's all mistakes.  So it was gallons of 'white-out' and do everything I could to get it in one draft.   That is why God created word processors and spell check.  Even now, it's the first draft that gets down.   I love that I can edit and reword stuff now.   I am anal about proofreading, and even do it after the edit window is closed, just for the sake of self torture I suppose.   But I was the kid who flunked four years of English and dropped out because I could never graduate high school.   I started writing at about age forty.  I have been blessed to have an English and French teacher and professional proofreader next door.    My mom was a grammar nazi, but this neighbor could explain, understandably, why something I said or wrote was incorrect.   My mom and my teachers could never do that in a way that I could get.

My pet peeve is when someone misspells common words ass backwards on purpose. I know this guy who will say "yeap" and that drives me nuts. Then he gets pissed off if I correct him. Sigh...
