There was an outage today for <10 minutes I believe. This was caused by me. I human'd. Nuked the database. Ooops. Restored but we may have lost a couple hours. Sorry!

 

I f'd up. LOL - the worst fat finger in history. haha

Ugh. We lost several hours worth. Totally my bad.

Reminds me of the time when a guy on the diesel sub I was on was teaching a non-qual about the electrical systems and pointed at the Aux Power Emergency Shut Down Switch, saying, "what ever you do, don't push this button," and accidentally pushed it himself.  We were in Communist Chinese waters, electronic spying back in peak Cold War times. We lost depth control long enough to hit the bottom, causing the boat to get a real hurty brain (I mean we ripped off our main sonar array).   We wound up popping to the surface, laid over with a 60ᵒ list, unable to move for too damned long in sight of the shore.

Oh, and something we in the electronics gang used to say, "a working piece of equipment is like a hard dick; if you want it to stay that way, don't fuck with it!"
