Ok, not sure if this is a big issue with anyone, but I like to vape in my car on the way to work (about a 35 min drive). With these cold temps I notice my car windows scuzz up with vape fog, which makes it a bitch to see at night. Anyone else dealing with this?

I get the same with cigarette smoke. The interior of the glass gets hazy.

 

For a lint-free shine - use old newspaper and windex (or similar) to clean periodically. Rags and paper towels leave lint and streaks IME.

And ditto what AGAMA said - I only smoke "goodies" at home after the work day is done.

I think SPS is talking about vapeing E-juice/nicotine, but I could be wrong.

And I second the trick of using newspaper/Windex to cut the film and leave a streak free surface. You can get glass so clean you don't know its there, lol.

Makes me wonder if its the nicotine itself, or the oils in the E-juice that leave the film.....?

I both vape and smoke at times in the car. (No "goodies" while driving) The build up on the glass is any suspended particulate. Mine gets hazy in a months time, but cold will build it much faster. 

 

I haven't been to a carwash in a year, but regularly clean the interior glass. (windex and newspaper). A good blast on the seats and roof liner with frebreeze does wonders for creating the "illusion" that the car is reasonably clean.

Thanks for the window and newspaper idea, had not heard that one before, and paper towels tend to streak even with Windex. Also Juthro was correct, I was only speaking of e-juice.

I got hipped to newspaper by my family, so it's always the way I have done it.  But just water and ammonia is all you need (mix one cap full of ammonia with two gallons of water). 

 

If the windows are really filthy, more ammonia.

I would not suggest using newspaper on windows. You could scratch the window. It is the nicotine stained on your glass. Same thing happens when smoking tobacco. After sometime it sticks on the glass until you clean it. I use a glass cleaner and microfiber towels. Go to your local auto parts store and get "Invisible glass" by a company named Stoner. I swear by it. And it doesn't hurt to smoke/vape with the windows open and the heater on :)

My car was given to me by a smoker.  I have COPD, probably from having been a heavy smoker in the past.  I scrubbed every inch of the inside of that car, but still have discharge from my bronchioles when the heater fan is on (after having it 8 years).

 

I have never seen newspaper scratch glass.  If there is grit on the glass, that could cause scratching.  Best to use a good amount of whatever cleaner you use from a spray bottle initially to flush away any abrasives.  If there is a good chance there are abrasives on the glass, better to use soft cloth in the first wipe.

This works great on regular glass, and it is actually the way I learned way back as a kid. I actually don't know of any commercial cleaner that works better on glass, and certainly none cheaper. But ammonia can be hard on window tints, and safety laminates found on some auto glass, and should probably be avoided if possible.

I've used "Invisible Glass" before, and I agree it is indeed a great product for car windows. It's what is on my garage shelf right now.
