I'm looking for a bumper sticker that says, "3rd Party."

IF not, you can design your own through that website as well.

I am confident that you know that voting does not really matter :)

I do vote.  I also jack off occasionally.

If elections could change the system, they'd be illegal.

Well, now that we have masses of people walking around in a daze collecting invisible creatures on their phones, a new "bread and circus" if you will, this all just gets more entertaining by the day.

How long before the "firemen" are burning the books I wonder?

If you are new to the coherent thinking of John Trudell, there's a bunch more to take in.

Well, on a lighter note, I just stumbled on what Stephen Colbert has been up to over the past few days.   Pretty good fun.

Hey Donald, your companies fail so often, you must have gone to business school at Trump University.

Ha!

I do vote.  I also jack off occasionally.

Double Ha!

I think I'm among the few here that think voting could be effective...if more than a few people actually did it.  A lot of change could be made at the local level if you could get, say, everyone with an income below 25,000 to go to the polls.  Of course, it takes some real effort to actually figure out when to vote and what's on the ballot at that level.  It's not advertised; certainly not like the presidential circus.

As someone who keeps mostly to himself, even in a county without a stoplight, the politicos close by are just as much, or more, enigmas as those at the national, or mass media, level.   My community is a small one, and no, I am not on Facebook, no longer have teevee, and the little bit of radio I hear I can sort little out of it all to file under, "presumed credible."   So, for both the electorate and the candidates and office holders, it is all on a spectrum from incomplete perceptions to fairly complete deceptions, and we're supposed to vote our way to truth, justice, and the American way?

At least jacking off can usually deliver within a narrow range of fairly low expectations.   Our political endeavors, not so much.

Well I can't change the facts to increase voter participation, so I suppose voting as it stands is fairly pointless at any level.  I can't force poor people to go vote, and it doesn't look like they will any time soon.  I can't force the people who do vote to think critically, either.

I'm just saying that with 100% voter participation, I think things would look different.  It's like saying things would look different with a pristine educational system or a health care system that actually produced health.

So now that the American electorate is up against this lesser of two evils moment, what is the actual debate?

Odd. What if an Aussie doesn't vote because he votes not to vote? What is the "punishment" for not voting?

I hope I'm wrong, but watch the U.S. elect trump. We'll prove how idiotic/tribalistic we are as a culture. Not that Hills too much better.
