If you don't know who he is just have a look here https://en.m.wikiped...Leonard_Pickard

His book, The Rose of Paracelsus On Secrets and Sacraments is about altered states of consciousness and possibly the next human form! I'm going to start reading a chapter a day and would really like to get a book group or conversation going on for this book.

So if you're interested in the book here's where you can buy it: http://www.amazon.co... and sacraments

So, I'll be starting a conversation on this book and I hope some of you will join me. One it would help Mr Pickard if we buy his book. He was sentenced to 30 years of prison. It greatly upsets me and who knows maybe buying his book will help with the legal fees? I do know I'm excited to read this 600 page monster of a beautiful book.

So can't wait to start a discussion. I also want to share this book is from Mr. Pickard to the reader. The whole endeavor is non for profit meaning he receives no sales from the book. I think that's a pretty amazing thing that he has done. Just wanted to add this fact when I should of said it sooner.

I doubt they will ever let him out.
I met him at the campground in Orlando that I was staying for a GD show. I had pitched my tent in my space next to an enormous brown tour bus thing with satellite dishes all over it and one of those enclosed motorcycle bays on hydraulics in the back. It werent no veewee hippy bus thats for sure.
We exchanged the usual howdy neighbor pleasantries and that was about it. He struck me as a highly intelligent but weird... and with a lot of money. That tour bus was really something, let me tell ya. And I only saw the outside of it. I can't imagine what the inside was like.
I had no idea who he was at the time. Just another freak at the show. I was surprised when I saw his pic a few years later when he got busted. I wish I would have taken the time to get to know my campground neighbor better back then. Or maybe not. With my luck I'd probably be rotting in prison too.
I think I'm going to order a copy. Should be interesting reading.

I haven't taken part in many book club reading / study but hope at least a handful join this discussion. When more people get involved they bring new interpretations and ideas to the group, enhancing the discussion by leaps and bounds.

I remember studying cannabis and breeding in general starting with MJ botany by R Clarke, the others like breeding field crops , Plant breeding and Advances in hemp. The cost on some of the books and advanced subjects resulted in smaller groups.

I appeal to our members to buy this book after all we most likely took some of his mind manifesting product.

I wish he could get a pardon from Obama, if not because he did a service to the world then on humanitarian reasons.

It's been a long time since I've been able to read a book, and probably will be a while as well.

But I enjoy reading posts about this subject and know the value of a book and discussions like this.

So I look fed to reading this thread.

Thanks for starting it Dani!

I'm really happy that some of you are interested in a book discussion also don't feel you cannot participate if you did not buy the book. All questions and thoughts are welcome! So no one hold back!

I personally love books and sharing ones thoughts together I think will be really fun! So look forward to discuss chapter one tonight. :D

I'm broke at the moment, but when I get some money next week I will order a copy.  Should be a great read.  Such a shame he is in prison.

I just finished the first chapter and will be touching on it this weekend. It's a very wordy book and I mean that in a good way.

With this book reading slow is key as you'll miss things if you don't go slow. Mr. Pickards writing style reminds me a lot of Terrence McKenna. So if you like McKenna you will probably like The Rose as well. It's 85% 50cent words or better. So it's a great exercise for the mind in general.

Some parts are so descriptive I recommend one reading the word or sentence more than once. So if you get this book try a chapter a day. Because one, the chapters are big and full, so if you only read one chapter a day you will feel satiated for sure! In the first chapter he introduces a man named Crimson who is one of the five chemists in the story. All the people in this book are kinda Resivour Dog in that there names are colours.

So the 5 are named Crimson, Cobalt, Vermillion, Indigo, and Magenta. How they meet is on the fly at clandestine locations. They are veting WLP so to speak in their own way. They discuss how they stay hidden and away from Leo was crucial and from what is described I'm surprised that things ended the way they did. I mean these people were uber paranoid and careful and this still happened.

It was a sad day when the silo bust happened. To hear how everything is starting is fascinating I will touch on that more in my next post. I just wanted to get out some of my thoughts on the book so far.

I do recommend one buying it as its a book worth having in any collection for sure. So far great read! Looking forward to people's opinions and digging in a little more. The intro is really cool as well it's a typed up copy of some either proposed or experiments that they wanted to do at Cambridge. I'll know more as I read.

I was actualy so excited I got goosebumps.  From your post.
I got the highest respect for these people.
I dreamed of being an acid chemist when I was young.. The universe had another purpose for me.

If  I don't get it soon I will find a quicker source for this book, got a monster sized book store 30 minutes drive.
I'll call them first. when I ordered they said it was the only copy. I am an hour away from a state U they got plenty of
book stores.

The rambling  reveal's my excitement.

"...They discuss how they stay hidden and away from Leo was crucial and from what is described I'm surprised that things ended the way they did..."

He can thank Kristal Cole for that. Loose lips sink ships. It is beyond comprehension why they would do the entire process in one location, have (presumably) local contractors renovate their missle silo into a pleasure palace, draw attention to themselves by tipping local barbers with $100 bills and then to top it off they drag home a girl from a strip club they know nothing about and bring her into the inner circle. I'm not surprised they got busted. I'm surprised it took as long as it did.
I always thought it odd that Krystal's early neurosoup videos had a weird echo to them. Sounds like they were filmed in a police barracks with a tie dyed sheet as a backdrop to hide what the room looked like.

Still buying my ticket at the box office and don't have the book yet but am expecting it any day.  Old theme: Many Human beings can not handle success and wealth or when opportunity meets preparation.  Name them: Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin etctera.  Appreciate what you have, be discreet, celebrate life but don't advertise what you do I guess.

I think we can all relate to the loneliness crimson must feel, a warrior behind enemy lines on a divine mission, risking his life , facing life in prison if caught. when looking at him a person did not see darkness but a luminous compassion. He really believed in what he was doing.

For him it was not about money but bringing light to those in darkness.

I admire him.

I have been reading this outloud to my mate and she agrees this is a beautiful story written with such a poetic style. One feels as if they are doing a psychedelic when reading .

I don't feel as if my words can do justice to this beautiful book.

Crimson is a Holy Man a modern day Saint, filled with compassion for people.  Crimson was chameleon like blending in
unnoticeable and forgettable , Crimson  might appear to be a homeless man or a business man.

I think  I will read the first chapter again , over time I will read this book many times.

books could be written on the knowledge of a single sentence

I leave you with the words of Crimson , safety and peace to you

I thought Crimson would be a great father , at the end we find out he has kids and gets them off to school.
My impression of Crimson was , I would trust him with my children, that was even before I found out he was a dad. I think how blessed his kids are to have him as a father.

I started the second chapter and realize that WLP  had already served time for making LSD before ever meeting Crimson, a clue to this was in the first chapter about working out in the gym.

I found it interesting that the day he got out of prison he went to a Zen Monastery, with only a box of used clothes and begging to be admitted to stay.

I know nothing of Kristal Cole  and how he got busted but I think there is more to all that  as one of his trusted people a man saved his own skin through the dea.
