Has anyone tried pickling as an alternative to drying your shrooms? I've made all sorts of delicious pickled vegetables including button mushrooms but I'm wondering how the heat and acidity would affect the potency of cubensis.

I saw star jam that had mazatapec mushrooms in it and you put in on your toast.

I know of a topiate that deep fried fresh shrooms and they kicked just find, I'm thinking there are a lot of possibilities that we don't consider due to an old school train of thought at times.

I would worry about the acidity for storage.

I think a quick "pickle" would be great for a party the next day, like a picnic, an overnight camping trip.. etc. Prolly help kick your ass, like lemon tek.

If I were to guess, I would think that a lot of the magic would end up in the brine. You might end up with a jar of magic pickle juice.

:)

Which is terrific for hydration, if you drink it.

A low pH would probably preserve the potency even longer. I added citric acid to my Everclear extracts, which still kicked ass ~6 years after I'd made them.

But your magic was suspended in a fairly anhydrous solution, which probably prohibited oxidation.
