i have been perfecting my cakes lately.. been making jello cakes for many years now but have perfected it with angel food cake too.. many different flavor combos are possible and jello keeps the cake moist forever...
i started making my cakes with this one for my husbands bdays... so i have been making this specific one for at least 10 years..
this is a cherry angel food that i did around st.paddys day for my moms womans group..
this is my easter bunny cake.. forget what flavor jello but was confetti cake with coconut frosting
made the heart cake for a family function and yes they ate it!...lol.. forget what flavor that was
this is not a jello cake its my pineapple upside down cake...
this one i made last month for my friends bday.. this was by far my most challenging cake!.. let me tell you what i went through.. first of all it was a tequila lime cake mix that her ol man insisted i use which made the frosting more of a challenge too.. and i had waste half a cup of tequila on it! coulda had a buzz instead...lol..anyway i gotta kinda lucky when i found key lime icing and i always add cool whip to store bought icing...so that turned out well.. then the next challenge were the mushrooms... had the meringue mushroom recipe for many years but never tried it as its difficult working with meringue.. finicky and sticky shit! lol.. but they turned out really good as well! oh and i crushed thin mints into the remainder of the icing and filled the eyes, mouth and nose with it.. and the small mushrooms are chocorooms that i have discovered are like crack...lol
