Nice Roc,

Glad to hear a winning story...

I have a friend going through COPD and there is a new drug out that works great.. but 4 grand a month for meds...

That's the damn problem in this country!
Not many can afford 4 g a month!

Yea that shit was nasty!
I couldn't take it and it only had a 50/50 cure rate with my type.

The new DAA drugs were a cakewalk and 98% cure rate.

I live pretty reckless sometimes, just got my third blood test that i can remember, and amazingly, I am clean. its a wake up call for sure. Its good to know that the interferon treatments are working for people even if they have nasty side effects, its worth it.

I know ppl who successfully cured their hep c with the interferon. I wonder what my fathers got going for him now. His psychiatrist took him off the tegretol bc of the liver damage it causes + having the hep c. Last I heard..

Don't even consider Interferon these days!

The new medications are easy and effect but the fucking greedy Big Pharma keeps it out of reach for too many people.

We can get you the new drugs in a licensed generic for less than a grand!

Nobody needs to suffer and die because of complications of Hep C!

I have a neighbor that comes up to his acreage on the weekends to smoke copious amounts of weed and rest.  He suffers from Hep but not sure which version.  I think I will share this information with him and see if he is receptive.

Congratulations on beating the system, a system designed to make money off of you, not cure you.  Thoughtful of you to share as well!

How is your friend doing these days?

Completely cured from what he has shared.

And congrats Roc :)

A worthwhile watch featuring my friend Greg Jeffery's who has provided treatment for over 2000 people around the world.

84,000 or 600?

I was cured in 2016 using a harvoni type drug, I had 0 viral load after only taking it for 28 days

I was lucky because the VA provided the meds, The cost at that time was over $600 per pill

That's fucking awesome!

People have no idea of how it feels to have slayed the dragon.

The liver is the only organ that can regenerate itself and repair to a like new status!

It's like a ton of weight lifted off your shoulders to see that 0 viral load.

Awesome news @roc happy for you. You are right though big pharma is a big ripoff. I know so many diseases floating around and some do require pharmaceuticals rather than alternative solutions. Just glad you are well.

I'm happy for anyone that beats hep, congrats to you.

I understand that research costs money, but there's a lot of our money (tax) that is subsidised into research companies, and universities that help find the answers to these problems.  So if we the people paid for the research to begin with, then why do we owe the shareholders of a pharmaceutical manufacturer an exorbitant amount of profit to capitalise on the drugs our dollars helped to develop.  I'm not saying they should do their work for free, but what is going on should be considered price gouging, and I think it is wrong.

IMHO, health care should be a fundamental right, at least to some level.

The VA drug and alcohol tested me 3 times total, first time was when i got my first 28 day supply of the medicine

2nd time was so i could get the second month of medicine

3rd time was for the last month of the medicine

The nurse told me right off the bat if i test positive for anything i can just go home and deal with Hep C myself

They will not help you if you will not quit drinking because the meds cost so much

I quit drinking and taking any drugs way before i ever got my first months supply
